I have no clue, I never used any cables that sit flush.
But that guy is one of the few guys I trust. You might wanna try it if you have time (I know you got spare cables lol).

You my friend have me laser focused now. I’m going to try to do some cable swaps and see for myself if there is any difference. I’ll report my findings.

EDITED because no fun. 
Just the EJ07 appears to be arriving today. I ordered the cable after the EJ so it will arrive later. But I have the O2 cable I can use as soon as it arrives for photos.
