Standard cable works best with EJ . Enjoy the music with it!
I will for sure I just have too much time to think about stuff like that and I am a fan of nice feel and optics

Oh I bought it on sale. Paid around half
What a gem Qudelix 5k is (especially after changing power on method to 0,5s dual side press)!
I donāt know what is better value in this hobby below 150$ - HE-400se, S12, Olina or this little piece of tech.
It makes EQ fun (something which even APOās Peace was not able to make me do), it is reliable and has amazing usability on the go (even though I have 3,5mm jack I prefer connecting to Q5k for the sake of not having anything hanging while I use phone). I am also quite confident it would be able to power my planar headphones from 2,5mm. I am waiting for 2,5mm ā 4,4mm adapter to confirm the last part, but their websiteās calculation makes me believe that it would work with HE-400i even with little bit of EQ.
Battery life which seemed a little bit concering is not a problem at all in my case and even if - it can serve as a dongle as well.
10/10, huge recommendation. It made my DAP useless
Trailli.
Q5k is insane, glad you love it. I love mine. Eyeing ES100 mk2 next
MicroUSB is a pain, build feels poor (but probably great for BT transmission). I remember the app being impressive, itās probably only second to the Q5K.
Qudelix-5k is so awesome. The company frequently releases firmware updates - like Iām talking every few days to a few weeks. And they have an expansive EQ preset library. Plus, they have advanced filter options and actually explain what each does in a blog.
Canāt give enough praise for this device.
Hi nymz,
I know you are busy, not to rush you or anythingā¦ ha ha
Did you ever find your 07ms? Were you able to borrow a set yet?
I know you plan to compare the Kinda Lavas with the 07m, just waiting patiently for that info. OK, I am about as patient as I am waiting for my KL tuned customs to arrive, ie not very patient at all but have to be, will still be weeks probably.
But always look forward to your insights.
God Bless,
Wayne
Same here. Every time I see an update to the Tea Party topic I hope itās your KL or Tea2 review.
While we wait for more excellent reviews from the Tea Master, I was looking at your ranking list of IEMs and noticed a pretty interesting trend.
Pretty much every set that is heavily hyped online by the community is ranked C or lower:
FH3, Aria, DQ6, BL-03, Tanya, MH755, T2, E1000
I donāt knowā¦ they are all cheaper sets and there are quite a few hyped sets (even cheap ones) rated rather highlyā¦
CRA, Titan S, Kato, ER2XR, Timeless/S12, Olina
I donāt know how nymz curates his list, but at least for me there is a certain sound I like and 80% of IEMs are not that (and those I dislike regardless of price - wether itās a FD3, B2 or U12t)
Ofc I was being a bit cheeky with this. Thought it was funny thatās all.
Of course Nymz has his sound signature preference like all of us.
I am very sorry. Tea2 is ready to go live since monday morningā¦ But life isnt always what you want it to be.
I asked ej07m loan to Tony, but he got sick, so we have to wait a lil bit. My own ej07m are still MIA.
I will try to get back on track this weekend. Tea2 going live tomorrow first time i will wfh in months
Yup I have it similarly ranked too:
Still waiting for my Olina tho
My ranking of what I own:
EJ07m ( S)
FiiO FH7 ( S-)
B2 OG ( A+)
NA2+ ( A- )
PD1 ( B )
Shure AONIC 4 ( C )
Senn IE 80S ( D- )
Any plans for Olina and OG Tea and Tea MK2 comparisons?
Tea if you want the best vocals and immersion especially at higher volumes. Better mids.
Olina for mid volume/background listening. Better clarity and detail, but treble is too bright for me at higher volumes/canāt listen for a long time. Better timbre.
Similar imaging and soundstage on both. Tea is more 3D. I prefer the Tea since the treble on the Olina is a too bright for me even with the filter mod+foam tips. Tea treble is just right at higher volume.
@VIVIDICI_111 Maybe if you replaced the stock filter with the Tanchjim Filter, the sound will be more natural, less shouty, less bright, tickher note weight, more comfortable, and more suitable for many genres. Iām really feel the differences.
Iām using the moondrop filters used in the dusk and variations; itās perfect for mid volume. Still bright when I crank it up though, but I do crank it up A LOT so itās probably fine for most.
