Small update

Cult tour has started. @lilhm, @Erokh and then @igor0203 will be getting a package containing Tea, Tea2 and Titan S.

I have an IE600 incoming, but that is subject to costums, so lets pray on that.

I have received one new source (transportable) and I have another one incoming (dongle). I will talk about these during next weekend as I also need an adaptor that is coming from Xinhs.

The lack of updates on Kinda Lava are on purpose. As you can see in my squid, the graph is not close to hbb’s graph. My unit is flying to him. If it’s just a rig difference, I will post my review. If there’s any problem, I will disconsider it. As it, it’s still a beast and I might take it over original EJ07m for my library. More on this later as well.

Due to Covid lockdowns, Dunu was struggling to send me units. That seems fixed now and they should be able to ship me soon. There will be a Zen Pro, but there might also be more goodies inside

Later this month / next month I will be getting buds from 2 diyers and will be fun to also delve on those again. As it stands, I gave most of my gear away over time, and I only kept a blur, but that should be enough to get a good gauge. Maybe in the future I get another lbbs, and I gifted mine to teddy.

I bought another Olina and another CRA, as I also gave that away to people who needed more than me and I got those for free.

Peace,

I too am looking forward to that IE600 review. They’re now $900 in the states, a far far departure from the $700 ORIGINAL MSRP.

Why the price hike?
Cashing in on hype?

I think the internacional price is 800. Hbb paid 1k in JP. No idea :person_shrugging:

I genuinely don’t know. I believe I read somewhere that Senn was having issues with the manufacturing process thus was forced to raise the price
but $200? I’m not so sure.

pretty sure 700 was in euro. not in usd.

I actually just found this article stating they were $700 at one point:

But I’ve found others stating it was 700 Euros, 800 Euros even
idk what to believe. Regardless. They’re $900 which is pretty steep

Just look at Sennheiser’s press releases:

It’s 700 USD in USA and 700 Euro in Germany (and likely whole of Europe)

Thank you for the clear up! It has been increased. I’m just not 100% certain on the reasoning.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on that set. It’s too expensive for me but it looks really tempting and could consider a used one someday.

I was really surprised how I didn’t care for the OG Dunu Zen
at all. I felt none of the physicality in the low end that is meant to be its main deal, did not get along with the 8k peak, and overall just didn’t like them very much. Easy sell-along. They were clear and detailed I guess. But to my ears very thin, the opposite of rich/lush.

Regarding the IE600’s price:

But, also

I only see HiFiGo selling them at $899, but given the change on IE900’s price, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they jack up the price on IE600 too.

I’ve been listening to the S8 lately and the bass doesn’t have a lot of impact but i find that to be clean

Seems suply chain is a mess atm. Everything has delays and costs a lot more.

Yeah, Same here :grimacing:

Speaking from experience, yes. I work in the car industry and the shortage is very real. I assume it’s affected a ton of other aspects in the tech world. I just didn’t think headphones would be one of them.
