In my experience, no, not even across the same model for different people. I think it has something to do with both the venting and each person’s individual ear canal anatomies. My [resin] EJ07M never gave me driver flex, and my [resin] KL occasionally does it, but only on the right side unit. I also find that it can be mostly, if not entirely, mitigated by pulling up and back on your ear’s Helix (the top), and inserting gently but firmly while pulling, and then releasing the Helix while you keep the tip in place.
Edit: I realize that this may be more difficult with a CIEM since you have to insert them a little differently than silicone tips.

I had the exact same issue and fix with my KL.

Hey Wayne,

I felt for you, have you ever contacted Letshuoer guys (@shuoer Joseph) if anything else can potentially be done to your sets?

I don’t own CIEMs but none of my EJs give me driver flex - although I only hit “play” after earphones been inserted… weird I know!

Truly believe there could be a way out for your trouble. Bless

Hello Wayne!

I never got driver flex in any IEM but my second iem ever, which was the fd5 (which is a meme because it’s a semi open design).

With that said, lots of people complain about it with shuoer DDs, you’re not alone, I’m just the special snowflake.

Keep in mind I don’t own any CIEM because I’m too scared something can go wrong like this. I still havent received my resin kinda lava so lets hope I’m not jinxing myself, ahahah.

If you want my usual frontal opinion, you should spend more money. Send it back to shuoer and turn it into a universal resin shell. Maybe even change the tuning. Judging by your posts, you don’t strike me as happy with it. There’s nothing wrong with not liking something and you should fix it. In the worst case scenario, you can still flip it to cover some of the loses, while as CIEM you can’t. Just my two cents

Thanks for being here :metal:

Thanks guys,
I do appreciate the support and advice.
I am not giving up yet, still got a few more tricks to try.
If and when I get something figured out, I will report.
Happy listening, God Bless,

Wayne, my man. Sorry the set didn’t work out for you. If you got more issues, let me know and we can fix it. Thanks.

Joseph, thank you for your kind words. And offer of help.
My custom fit is fine when I stand up or am sitting, but I almost always listen to music late at night in bed, lying down. And then I do not get a really good seal, so I am continually pressing the ciems into my ears harder. And every time I do that I get driver flex, very annoying. I will first attempt to add some resin on the outside of the ciems to see if I can get a better fit. IF that works, then the driver flex will probably only be a one time problem when I first insert the ciems.
A great fit will probably also help another issue, treble harshness/brightness.
I have gone back to using the cable that is supplied with the EJ07M KLs, Single ended, copper cable. That does cut back on the harshness a LOT, most music is listenable now. Will see how that works out, also I was really hoping for more bass.
Thanks and God Bless,
Wayne

Final Audio Type E Tips should do the trick in the bass department.
I was also hoping for a little more bass when I first got my Kinda Lavas but now with the type E I am completely happy

I think no matter the driver count, it’s worth it if you enjoy listening through it. Does it require a powerful dongle or portable amp?

He seemed not to really like either, Tbe norm for precog. I’d say the Dunu are not awful as he brought up the Moondrop and The Xenn.

Please review Yanyin Cannon @nymz
It is my only option to save money.
The Tea mk2 is already 300€ more than the Olina and the Shuoer Ej07m is now at 600€ (5x the price of the Olina).

Sorry, I can’t buy it atm

Wait the KL has less bass than the OG 07M  Or did you ask them to tune it so?

No, it does. It’s stock tuning
