It is, but money is tight. I’ve sold most of my other stuff. That’s just the last layer.
It’s about prefering a couple other sets to it and redundancy. It’s a great set and im not sure I will sell it. If the price is right and a good home shows up, I might consider it. I won’t be posting it for sale everywhere, at least for now. Same way I never sold my Mangird Teas and when someone fell in love with it, I knew they found a new home and gave it away.
Real life did. Sure, Z1R and Trio make you go boom boom in your brain. But that wasnt the trigger. It was more a question of when than why. I no longer have that much free time to enjoy that many sets. I’ve found endgame long ago. I could have stopped at Teas or anything that came after. Hell, I could only have Olina + a source and be happy.
And by heart, we all know I’m just messing around until I say f*** it and grab a U12T, flex a bit and get lost in the sauce.
I do have dibs on the unit if I want to, but boy, it’s so much money…
During the last weeks I was away I kept adding new tracks to my library and added some to the test playlist. We talk so much about gear that I figured why not share some music love:
Thanks to @Tfaduh, the inhouse bass player who loves a good slap even more than I do. If a set can’t slap me with a track like this, it’s over already.
Polyphia just dropped a new song. Oh god dynamics and layers and distortion and arrrrrghh i love it. Their Playing God track has been on all my reviews later for a reason. Make sure to check that out as well.
One of my favourite tracks by Kanye is going to the list. This savage track on speakers is love, try it if you can. Positional queues, reverbs and a nasty bass will warm you up for and get ready to conqueror de world.
To test them drums and, let’s be honest, what a performance!
Spring 1 as always been on my testing lists to test some classical juice. Now winter 1 also makes the cut, as probably the most known season masterpiece by Vivaldi, to test timbre and violins. What a show.
A great track for a great movie. Needs no explanation why it’s here and I just get lost into the jazz. If a set can’t replay this porperly, it better be pretty.
And even though the U12T has TOTL separation and dynamics I’d still take the Tea over it The mid scoop and lacklustre sub-bass on it is a no go for me.
Awesome tracks! Added both to my library. Nice to find tracks outside of my typical listening. Those first two are fat and thick. I really like the differences between the UP and Moonlight and how they play with bass presentation on them.
@nymz You ever listen to any GoGo Penguin? The upright bass is fantastic in their songs. At least to my preference. They have a very atmospheric chill electronic vibe. I particular like the below live track. The details that come out on the finger slides and pulls, not a musician so hopeful that’s correct, are superb if you have good detail retrieval.
I forget about their Tiny Desk Concert. Another great example. You can even hear the clicks of the piano keys knocking. Possibly the drummer tapping the stick. I believe it’s one of those two and it adds an interesting level to the songs.
Oh I’ve never heard of either. It’s late here but, I’ve added them to my que for my morning coffee playlist tomorrow. Can’t wait to listen. Will report back.
