Nice any IEM’s know to start using this ? I thought I saw this listed before?

Maybe it works. Bass texture is good. But there are bigger bass specialists here, let them say :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:.

That is not new at all, Acupass has been used in iems for like a decade. From the Ultimate Ears Custom UE4 Pro customs to the latest Sonion 38 series acupass woofers which are used in all the Dunu SA6 models for example.

Also, that video is explaning this specific model I believe.

Sonion 1723WT03

and yeah. Sonion Acupass is basically known as the best BA woofer tech you can buy. (you cant buy 64audio Tia or Sony BAs for example.)

This explains why my bass sounds almost like a DD. Probably this technology + good FR works. I will refrain from 64 audio for now .

Well, from reputation, the U12t seems to have the best BA woofer out there and I believe the Sony ones are also up there.

But from Knowles, Sonion, Bellsing, E-Audio/LS-Audio, the Sonion 38 (acupass) series are the ones known as the best afaik.

Knowles did release this woofer as their answer to the 38 series sonion though.

Not that many people have had the chance to try it, but I maintain that Subtonic’s SLAM array of BAs works better than any BA I have heard from anyone else, 64 Audio included. From texture to impact, nothing else competes IMO.

Which IEM uses it?

all of the Dunu SA6. BGVP DM8 also uses it

And probably a lot of the GS Audio ST lineups (like the ST6B).

I know the AüR Neon Pro also uses the 38D1X
Whilst the Sound Rhyme SR8 uses 38AJ

All of which have well-regarded bass for BA

the AJ is not acupass though and a lot flatter.

But well, tuning is the most important factor anyway…
For example, the SeeAudio Bravery uses a VENTED dual woofer (31618) same as the Audiosense T800 and their bass is like night and day, completely different. Where the T800 sounds close to a DD (basshead) but the Bravery is very average BA bass. And then the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite is “just” using the 22955 woofer which is UNVENTED (probably most used BA woofer out there, especially budget range), but manages to tune it even closer to a DD than the Bravery.

Today I learned! Haven’t received my SR8 yet, but I’m really hoping they can live up to a bass-lover’s dreams. Hopefully the tuning will provide. If not, it’s the DD life for me :man_shrugging:

Baby is fine, but it aint sleeping. Im now used to sleep 4 hours a day again, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Two weeks ago we found out that my dad is very ill and we dropped everything and went to grandpapa’s, in the same day I got an overwhelming promotion at work. This is the reason I basicly disappeared for so long.

Life gives, life takes.

On better news, I’m now back home and have a lot of toys to show :eyes:

I hope all is well. My father is long gone. But I’m glad there are new toys to show off. :purple_heart:
