FUCK ME.

EJ07m arrived.
Initial impression with stock tips and cable, A/B with UM MEST.
That holographic airiness touches my brain. My whole auditory pathway is enlightened. OH MY LAWD THAT SWEET AIRINESS. Also found out that this is a somewhat semi-open set, the vents themselves allow music to pass through. Was evident when placed on the table along MEST, both playing music, and the music heard from a distance is louder from EJ07m.

Fuck Variations. Fuck VR3000.
EJ07m is joining my endgame trinity effective immediately.

Surprisingly I donā€™t find the stock set to be sibilant. Guess I wonā€™t be needing the Tanya filters! However, my set came with a ripped boxā€¦ Evidently it was not from the customs but from the sellers end because the outer protective box was intact, but the sleeve was ripped and taped all over, and the sheet of protective paper that shouldā€™ve been in the box was removed outsideā€¦ Glad that the quality of the IEM themselves were intact.

These need a bit of power (harder than MEST), swapped stock 3.5mm cable to Xinhns 4.4mm balanced glory:

Gonna spend my time with this piece of gem
Perfect set for working without sacrificing musical details (details without fatigue).

ā€œItā€™s beginning to look a lot like Christmasā€¦ā€ :santa: :christmas_tree:

No, I was interested for a while, but couldnā€™t justify the price.
Also Iā€™m a bit afraid that the bass will kill me. EJ07m at the moment sits at the perfect amount of bass I can tolerate while working. Thanks!

Itā€™s not a Bass head set at all but does give some of the best bass kick/slam and texture out thereā€¦fit and weight is the big if, a try before buy is honestly recommendedā€¦oh and that treble is :flying_saucer: airy too lol.

Fine.

Yes.

My last sets aswell, included EJ07m. If you bought it from Dudo, itā€™s the chinese customs.

Yes, thatā€™s one of the reason I love it.

A god.

Buy.

I donā€™t need another IEM

So this EJ07m sounds good huh?

If you have Tea to do a direct comparison, the immediate difference is exactly like this, how the 3D space just opens wide up:

Whether the Tanja filters are needed is subject to the personā€™s ears. I eventually didnā€™t need them after testing

I have been thinking of buying them for a long time, but I think 07 OG will be more suitable for me. Otherwise a good choice, Iā€™ve heard that IEMs are unique, despite the fact that some people spat at them in the beginning!

Youā€™ll prefer EJ07m for your library and treble preferences, IMO

Wait, so Iā€™m not scamming people? :smirk:

You did scam me into buying your Variationsā€¦ Or did you? Or was it my brain?

Your brain. I literally told you what I didnā€™t like on it

Because I didnā€™t know what my ears like during the time.

I wish we could organise like a ā€œtimeshareā€ but with IEMs lol. I canā€™t afford to have a collection like some of you bigshots, but even if I could, I wonā€™t have the time to devote to each IEM. e.g., even with my very modest IEM collection, each IEM gets maybe 2-3 hours per week, on average. Thatā€™s a significant downtimeā€¦

I know some of you have loaned sets out, and I guess thatā€™s similar, but I can imagine this ā€œtimeshareā€ will need to formalise contingencies for accidental damages.

Wish we could meet up in person and do this! Damn pandemic

Same.
I just happen to work from home and need a lot of background music (12+ hrs a day on IEM/headphones) to drain out distraction. In order to find the perfect set, I had to do it myselfā€¦ Itā€™s costly. Iā€™m definitely not one of the big shots, but I do like it when I see a deal that cannot be missed

My TOTL sets are either half the price 2nd hand, or 1/3 of MSRP knocked off with timed discounts. Ā£400+ is already too much for me; MEST was the accident but the price was just too good.

I havenā€™t listened to Variations, but I have B2 and I guess the only fun thing in Variations is the subbass. There arenā€™t many fun things in B2 ā€¦ Whoever bought Variations is to blame for himself :sunglasses: .
