Please Nymz try Fh9 and Quintet !
Iāve had mine on my current rotation list (Tea 2, B2:Dusk and Heyday.)
My pair unfortunately contracted rust on the nozzle within 2 months due to hot weather and humidity (I live in Puerto Rico.)
Thinking about getting a spare during the upcoming 11.11 sales and keeping it sealed until my first unit dies.
Seems like the FH9 is a hidden gem.
Iāve been thinking about getting an FD7 despite middling reviews, I love the color scheme!
FH9 is a maybe if I can find one at a great price.
Hello Nymz.
Could you rank the Kiwi Ears Quintet?
And another doubt. Will you review the Fiio Fh9? thank you!
I hate to tell everyone this, but as much as we miss Nymz, he seems pretty MIA right now. I think heās just so busy with work and life atm, I donāt know if heāll be back any time soon. I last spoke to him probably a month ago and Iāve sent a few follow-up messages to him since with no response. Iām not sure if heās more active on Discord, as I donāt have one, but maybe someone can chime in if they are on there.
I just hope all is well on his end.
I last chatted with him on Discord ~a month ago, heās fine just got a lot on his plate (new dad, some family stuff, business). Iāll ping him when I (finally) get my U6t on its way to him.
Yeah, that makes sense. The last time I spoke to him, he also mentioned that he was moving as well on top of everything else.
He shall return for sure, just may take some time.
Just keep the lights on for Dad, in the meantime. And no loud parties or busting into his cigar room
@nymz I donāt understand
In its written review it says that the Variations is worse than the Ej07m but in the ranking the Variations has better scores.
These obvious inconsistencies in products over ā¬500 are unforgivable.
Please just buy Variations finally and find out if you like it
FH9 aswell
I donāt have the fh9 anymoreā¦a shame.
you have them?
no sorry, can not help you. I just find it entertaining how you donĀ“t give up on that topic
Best to buy one of the two, but leave FiiO out of them. Both are very good sets.
I prefer to ask 4-5 times than āblindlyā spend ā¬500.
I understand, but the problem is you can ask 10 people and get 11 answers.
The only way to really find out is to try it yourself.
ThatĀ“s the problem in this hobby, most of us donĀ“t have the possibility to test a lot of sets before buying as there are hardly any shops with IEMs so there is always some āgamblingā involved.
Check the Xenns Top.
Thanks but according to precogvision, Nymz, Crinacleā¦and other Youtubers ranks I prefer Fh9 or Variations.
Late to the conversation but Iām listening to the FH9 now and itās a phenomenal iem with superior build quailty, tuning nozzles and better cable than the Variations which I caught and released as it was thin in note weight and not to my tastes
Variations is a very clean yet fun set with emphasis on sub-bass, female vocals and a sparkly treble presentation. Very resolving set too.
I bought my set shortly after release and owned it for more than two years by now and itās one of the few sets Iāll never sell. Overall just excellent and there really is nothing like it on the market to this day, not even in the same price bracket or above.
Some people have complained about the light mid-bass tuck, but that one isnāt an issue at all, at least to my ears.
