Congratz bro! Waiting eagerly on those photos
Did you make any changes to the FR?
Speaking of modular cables, Tripowin now has one of their own:
Looks like that 4pin connector is the standard for modular cables now.
Dunuās system still seems like the best, at the expense of price of course
yeah, love their system.
None requested, as the EJ07M stock graph looked [to my eyes] to be a perfect adjustment to everything I loved about the OG EJ07.
Have ya got ya fucking Timeless yet?..nymzās ma be like ffs please deliver his Timeless
I need that Variations and Oracle quick comparisons. How do they fare against each other?
I received a package with hifimans today and managed to listen 2 songs at work (yay!) by The XX and damnā¦ Never heard such open and smoothly sounding headphones and Iāve tried a few from under 200$ (X2HR, DT990, K371, DT770).
I guess I should switch from IEM to Headphone subforum now.
But on serious note, great comfort and really different sound to any IEM I have checked. Really good compliment for different use case, something which K371 was not (I always felt I am missing out on using it instead of Tea).
I got one of them today!! Sitting inside the box atm, as Iām giving formation hours to people at work. Iāll try it today!
Seems my gf also receiving Koss Kph30i at home so thereās that as well.
I hate adulthood
They complement each other very well.
The Variations trumps with its excellent Sub-bass, Top Tier Detail, Treble and female Vocals. The two complaints that some have are the ālackā of mid-bass (which is not really a lack but more of a tuning design decision) and the slight lack in body of male vocals, or that they may sound a bit distant.
The Oracle has excellent vocals, both male and female. Female vocals sound not as ethereal as on the Variations, but they come close and are very good. They got more mid-bass and thus have more of a kick in tracks that call for it. The FR of the Oracle is a bit deceptive in that there is less Bass quantity than the FR would indicate, but it is of very high quality. Sub-bass is very good as well, but like female vocals, not as good as the sub-bass on the Variations.
I consider the tuning of both the Variations and Oracle as some of the best there is.
The Variations is very clean and lean, but not boring thanks to its sub-bass and excellent treble, and thus still musical sounding.
The Oracle is a masterclass in balanced sound and is one of the rare tunings that I can say handles everything. There is not a single genre that sounds bad or that set, and it replays every single one of them at least good. It truly is a jack of all trades, but does not settle with mediocrity ever. Treble has the sparkle I crave as well.
Iāll take my Variations when I want to listen to female vocals, electronic (craving that sub-bass), Instrumental, JPop, KPop, Metal, or just wanna dissect the music.
The Oracle I take when I wanna listen to Rock, Metal, male vocals (female as well), Electro, etc.
I consider them a perfect pair.
The forbidden Sony DAP
ā¦and actually a really, really good one. The 3.5mm has much more power than I expected, and it sounds good as well. The player is ElevenMPV-A, playing FLACs from my Collection.
Wow the Oracle feels like a proper upgrade from the FD5. Just that itās a tribrid.
Sounds like the Oracle can be instant endgame for most listeners as well. Having the Variations for a good 3 months now, it has been consistently being my go-to for kpop and still stays on top.
Would love to demo the Oracle one day. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

I want more words. Moarrr
I was looking forward to your opinion. I didnāt say anything as to not influence you, but I hypothesized to myself that you wouldnāt like the timeless based on my understanding of your taste. Glad to see that I was wrong
Have you tried it with the MT-602 yet?
No but gonna do it today at my parentsā.
I only have stock tubes
