đŸ”¶ Philips Fidelio X2HR

To entirely clear it up, you want to uninstall the driver and reinstall it in a somewhat specific manor to get rid of the weird popping at times

X2HR + V-moda mic is the current setup, used for gaming/streaming/voip. I enjoy the X2HR setup!

What would be the next step up in headphone price with a similar use case? 3.5mm jack for v-moda etc.

Add these to the list of things you NEED with these cans.

May I ask if the the stock pads of the x2hr need to removed from their retaining ring or are these slap on and go? Thank you

If I’m looking at the pictures correctly, you’d pull the factory ring/pad off and adhere the Dekoni replacements directly to the can. the post holes are cut out of the replacements.

I’ll tell you for sure after they arrive; just ordered a set of the Suede.

Thanks! I appreciate the response.

There’s not a lot, to be honest, because once you start getting up in headphone pricing you’re getting into balanced sets. I am in the middle of expanding out from my X2HR/BoomPro on GSX1000 setup which consists of the following:

  • Replace BoomPro with standalone mic
  • Decided to go Schiit stack (Magnius/Modius)
  • Purchase Hifiman Sundara

Dekoni has their own ring. You just snap the pads off and on.

Wish Dekoni made hybrids pads. Prefer hybrids over the leather/suede

Might just be a matter of time now that they’re doing these

Z’s video about the X2HR’s pads reminds me about the stl file that someone on Reddit made. Hopefully this helps.

Edit: Sorry I forgot who made the stl file. I had it in my computer for quite some time. If you are the creator, contact me through the DM.
Edit: The stl file is a plate that allows you to attach generic pads to the X2HR.

If you are in the EU rather than the UK you can get Dekoni products from WOD Audio in Germany and avoid having to pay additional import fees.

Got mine today, piece of cake to swap. Change in comfort level is leaps and bounds above the stock pads. You definitely need to bump the volume a bit after installing these, but wow
This is the first time I’ve ever made a pad change on headphones, and I’m shocked that I can hear a difference (not saying I was skeptical about the result, just didn’t know if I was going to be able to make the distinction)

It is amazing how a pad change can breathe new life into head phones
