Planar Magnetic Open Back Over-Ear Headphones

Something like the asgard 3 is pretty solid and reliable

https://www.schiit.com/products/asgard

You would just want a 3.5mm to rca cable

Finish
Module
Voltage (?)
Plug Type (?)

There are these options, which one do i go with?

What is the full name of the 1990’s? And if possible a link to it as well, thanks i really appreciate your help and guidance very much.

Do i go with the same periapt cable and adapter for the headphones?

For the finish you choose, it’s the color

For the module choose no modlue

For the voltage if you are in the us choose 115

For the plug type choose usa plug if you are in the us

So the one downside of the 1990 (if you can call it that) is that it’s single ended only and cannot be made balanced, so I would just stick to the stock cable, it’s pretty durable.

Stick with Stock Pads? And will the Amp work with the Hiby R6 Pro?

There will be 2 sets of pads that come with it, a pair of “balanced sound” pads and “analytical sound” pads. I like the analytical and while you do lose some bass quantity you get more quality bass and the rest of the range. As long as you get the 3.5mm to rca cable the amp will work with the hiby, the hiby has a 3.5mm line out port that you would use

What is everything i need to make everything work? I want to make sure i got everything i need before fully committing to it.

So you would want the headphones, the 3.5mm to rca cable, and the amp (the amp and cable for the amp are nice to haves but you can just run it from the r6 pro, but the quality from the higher end amp will help). This being said, the 1990 pro are not planar headphones if that is a dealbreaker

Thank you for your time a patience, i am very grateful for your help, can you list all the links for everything?

It is kind of a deal breaker it’s not a PLanar Magnetic Headphones

If you can recommend me a second headphone that fits me, that is a planar headphones, that would be awesome

Most of the planars in this price range really don’t have the best track record for reliability is the issue. Personally I think the sundara is solid in terms of build and I don’t think qc is a real issue with them anymore, but it’s not as solid of a reputation as beyerdynamic for build quality for example. The ones that would be rock solid in terms of reliability and build are out of this price range or have a sound signature you would not want

I will try out the Sundara’s first as my starter headphones then move up to the Beyerdynamic in the future. Also because of the price difference.

Sounds like a plan, I think if you end up liking them then perhaps it might be worth holding onto them for awhile and moving to a higher tier. Then here are the links for the sundara:

https://www.schiit.com/products/asgard (no module, finish of your choice, 115 v if you are in the us, us plug if you are in the us)

https://periaptcables.com/collections/frontpage/products/8-type-8-dual-3-5mm (with the pro 1/4 inch termination for use with the asgard)

So is that is everything i will need to make everything work, including connecting to the Hiby R6 Pro to the AMP?

Correct. Also the nicer durable periapt cable as well (as you want it for this one)

SIZE

COLOR

TERMINATION

What option do i choose for the Periapt Cable combination?
Does changing the color change the options that come with the cable?

No, just make sure you select the correct termination in the drop down (the PRO) The size is your preference, and same with color
