How would you describe the treble on 02 vs fan2?

early impressions:
Smooth and spaciuos sound; airy; bass is not shy; good instruments separation; very confortable

note: i’m not a reviewer and i don’t have much experience with $400 sets

Yeah from the guy that makes the ISN and PENON cables .https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNnnAnY
Ask for a deal or wait till they go on sale.
You can get standard ear hooks or none , modular or not normally $10 less for just a 4.4 for me

Brighter and present in the PA02 with BA timbre.
More polished and less rough on the Fan 2.
PA02 has more bass, however they are slower and less dynamic, the mids are blurred and not as clean as in the Fan 2, as well as the vocals and especially female vocals.
Fan 2 easily wins PA02 for me
If you want a mature signature with better treble, look at the Hisenior T4

I also just received my set and I think if you’re a treble head you’d likely not enjoy this IEM. The mids and bass are wonderful though. They also sit pretty comfy in my ears but I haven’t worn them for a long period of time yet.

My biggest issue is with the treble sounding veiled. I wouldn’t call it bad not great either. I think with some tip rolling this would be resolved and I’ll be trying some if the tips mentioned here and some I have with me already.

Overall for its price it’s a great set.

edit: rolling to foam tips solved a lot of my issues with the treble!

The Feaulle H570 tips are great if you want to squeeze more details out and tighten up the bass just a tad one of my favorite tips.https://a.aliexpress.com/_mP70yYK

Has anyone tried the Clarion tips on this bad boys yet? That’s my go to wide bore tip, along with the SS20 tips.

Man oh man.
I was about to write it off as some here have done. That was me testing it off my phone using a dongle.

Connecting the same dongle to my laptop proved to be a different story.

This IEM likes power

Without adequate power, the dynamics die - bass becomes slow, mids buried, and the treble peaky.

In haven’t played around with cables yet but I did change to narrower Acoustune tips.

Using the xDuoo Link2Bal Max dongle, I find the Pa02 to have a very powerful, textured, forward & midcentric sound. Lots of mid-mids, but less lower and upper mids, which is an odd tuning to my ears.
Highs I don’t find veiled, just not in the front except the 14kHz pal peak I believe can rear its head sometimes.

Subbass hits way harder and is way more present than the midbass. My preference is for more midbass. Bass driver seems to be quite good quality, I must say. Some may criticize it as being just a little relaxed in speed and tightness, but I think it’s as quick as it should be. It’s musical.

Stage is very acceptable. It’s wider than I was prepared for so I’m kind of happy about that.

So far I’m digging these.

Really when I think about it, I’ve just described how it graphs.

Yeah it very much sounds how it graphs bass is Organic and textured has a special quality about it that I also loved on the Yanyin Canon.

Takes a bit to get used to non in your face upper mids but once you do it sounds natural.

I always juice mine up with power and sometimes forget to run them off a low power dongle or straight out of a SE jack for sound impressions.
