Yeah I love my Hisense Touch where I read all my Light Novels on. Funny since I was the kid that HATED reading ANYTHING (except manga) but since I got my Touch I have been reading daily (or should I say, nightly since i read during night in bed).

Bad news today folks, the left ear piece of my Letshuoer S08s is beginning to die meaning the sounds are starting from the normal volume where I can hear it to a volume that I can barely hear the damn thing, and it switches from loud to quiet quickly. This shit sucks man, since the S08s are one of my favorite IEMs being released this year and I am not sure if this is still under warranty. Not only that, sending this shit back to its seller overseas is gonna cost me a lot of fucking money and I don’t feel like doing that.

I guess the last resort I have would be give Letshuoer’s customer service a try if they could consider replacing the left ear piece, otherwise I might have to open it up just like I did with my Katos previously and I fixed that one.

Rip, my xiaomi monitor light bar just died after 9 months, does not turn on at all.

(this model: Amazon.com: Xiaomi Mi Computer Monitor Light Bar - Easy Installation, Extra Computer Lighting w/o Taking Desktop Space, w/Wireless Remote Control Adjusting Lights Easily : Electronics )
Apparently something that happens often it seems…
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/ov5mzx/mi_computer_monitor_light_bar_knob_issue/

will probably order a new one from baseus instead.

“you only miss something when it’s gone” so true…cant believe I didnt have a monitor light bar for the majority of my pc life…

You should be able to find one with a remote for around that price. Believe me having the little control wheel to hand is a major improvement from the controls on the bar itself.

honestly I pretty much never used the remote with the xiaomi so i dont feel it is mandatory…

Not sure what other brands are out there anyway, especially if I will avoid xiaomi for this next one which means no Youpin or Yeelight.

Yeah then it starts getting difficult - Everything belongs to Xiaomi / could always pay the (fake) western premium and get the BenQ one :joy:

I know of the benq ones and they are stupidly overpriced for some LEDs…

I did just stumble on this brand though
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Equipped-Backlight-Rendering-Temperatures-Asymmetric/dp/B0CKVX6YLT

Looks pretty good actually (its on the swedish amazon as well) similar price to the xiaomi one but has a lot of functions and apparently a backlight

Looks good and IIRC that company just produces LED products so probably they know what they’re doing :+1:

I use a Lymax but they are really Youpin, which is really Xiaomi :joy:

I have the older Quntis ( before they had the puck controls ), and it has been on an ultra wide in my home office for nearly 4 years. It survived two major moves ( 1600 miles or 2500 km ), plus a local one in Santa Clarita.

I light my office with that and a cheap LED desk lamp that was under $15. That is a one of those L shaped lights that has two hinges and a twist on the lamp arm, so it lets me control light for meetings and video calls in my office. I found that a lamp and a decent mic are the keys to having a good enough setup to seem professional-ish, when that is required.

Great to know it lasts!

Just had a look and the power consumption is next to nothing on mine lol.
(I just added kWh into Home Assistant so probably why it is shows 0kWh.)

sigh I am really frustrated right now on two thing currently. One, I cannot seem to spray paint my keyboard’s frame right, for it just easily gets scratched and gets it paint scraped off by just light movements even though I did all of the instructions on how to apply spray paint right. Right now this like my third time spray painting the damn thing and I am getting tired of it, I might as well call it a lost cause.

Finally, two, I hate getting invited to Group chats in the Messenger app with no fucking reason at all, and the guys who invited me were my classmates during my university days. But here is the problem, I never gotten along with them and I only see them as acquaintances, hence I refuse to even message them and just flat out ignore and archived the chat for I wanted to be left alone, if they were my best friends, sure I wouldn’t mind. But yeah I just wanted to vent out, you gotta let it all out on what has been bottling up inside of you after all.

Failure IS an option

Yeah I guess you’re right, but I don’t know what to do with it, since that keyboard that I have been trying to restore and fix it is an old model and I cannot simply find its frame only. Hmmm, perhaps I should just buy a similar keyboard for the price or I don’t know broken, get the parts of that broken similar keyboard, then put it in my keyboard and finally sell it. I think that can be a good idea, but I guess I just have to look for more.

Is the frame plastic or metal?

Did you strip it back to base first to ensure better adhesion?

Did you apply a primer?
Cleaning, scuffing/sanding and some self-etching primer could be helpful.
You may also need to use a fill to cover the scratches you said are happening.

Did you apply a clear coat after the spray?
This is absolutely essential. I usually double up my clear coat - gloss then matte.

Spray painting is just prep & process - so don’t worry you will get there :muscle:

I think it’s safe to say that the plastic frame of that keyboard is long gone, since I accidentally warped and broke it with a damn heat gun for I was trying to cure it ASAP and I didn’t checked the proper temperature of it xD. Oh well, maybe some other time when I can find a spare part where I can just replace its frame with a new one and it’s going to be a bit of a pain in the ass since that keyboard is an older model.

I was thinking about a picking up some things on the Christmas sale, and instead my sewer overflowed in the basement, so I am spending about $4k to get everything sorted out. For as shitty as that is ( pun intended ), they said it is only going to take a few days to get it all sorted out, they already have it cleaned and the area is fans and dehumidifiers for those days. Other downside, that gear is loud.

Damn, I hope that nothing extremely sentimental was damaged or lost in the process!

Nothing special, thankfully

damn, sorry to hear that, John. My family went through multiple floods when I was little and we lost a lot of superficial things but also a lot of sentimental items as well. I’m relieved to hear nothing special was lost. I hope they can get it sorted soon.
