ARGH!!! I bought a pair of JBL! Tune 125BT back at the end of September and just over 3 months later they’ve up and died on me. and to make matters worse, JBL! doesn’t have a support portal for Canadian customers. you have to call or email…so I emailed them with a copy of my Amazon receipt and will hope for the best now.
That sucks but if you bought them through Amazon you should be covered by a 12 month guarantee
maybe where you are…but not in Canukistan.
Have you tried contacting amazon support? They are very good in Sweden as well. Give it a try if you havent.
mmm…could try that. when I click on the issue button it takes me to an FAQ that has a little box below that says, ‘didn’t find your solution? reach out to the manufacturer.’ who has no CDN support portal.
you need to contact amazon themselves not the product company.
yes…but I have to use trickery to contact support as no access is given through that particular order and, like I mentioned, Amazons website says contact the MFR if none of the support info they had helped.
If Amazon sold them?..then you are apart of Amazondom even Ice Hockey, Elks and Maple Syrup bow down to the one retailer
nope…just had a talk with one of their reps, who said ‘we do not have any replacement options for this, you must contact the manufacturer’ and then gave me their toll-free number. <_<
well, some good news…JBL! responded to my support email fairly quick, yad me fill abd submit an RMA form and then said to cut the cable, send a pic and send proof of purchase, again and a replacement will be shipped. I have 15 days from that email to respond.
customer support has been very mixed the last couple years, what happened to within 48 hour response times
Koss - almost 3 weeks to respond to my email (say they’re sending me the correct item)
Drop - (damaged in shipping) quickly offered a refund because they didn’t have replacement stock
Mu - (manufacturer of above) had one rep reach out quickly but support took a couple days, they sent me replacement parts
Javy - (order never arrived) said they’d send a replacement then ghosted
Ekster - (broke within first month) took 2 weeks to respond then was a couple days of exchange to get a replacement sent
Enchelon (asked if shipping was delayed) never responded but shipped a day or 2 later
Irritates the hell out of me when someone says “Buy this one because it is the best!” or “These are the best for your ears” or “Best quality” or “These sound better than anything else!” These are all opinions and EVERYONE has one of those. It does not mean squat! Your ears and what YOU hear is all that is important not what somebody who you do not even know says what is best for you!
Agreed in full, unqualified opinions are completely useless. On that same tangent, I equally hate when people just ask for “The Best X” without any parameters. If you want someone else to do your research for you or even spoon-feed you, help them help you by explaining your own preferences and needs.
What shade of blue is the best? Same as asking what headphone is best for me with no qualification or use-case or preference info.
Unfortunately, many are either not confident in their own ability to learn and think critically or simply lazy or both. The same are also easily swayed by false narratives and thus here we are in the global position we’re in.
I don’t hate it but it annoys me and there seems to be more and more new threads asking ‘invalid’ questions lately.
This is why we have communities such as the one here on HFGF, to help guide/dissuade people when they are new and aren’t sure how to get their feet wet. Anyone just trying to bypass the process or unwilling to even try to learn deserves to be shown the door, IMO. Everyone starts somewhere but lazy is lazy. It kinda goes back to a mini discussion we had about employment and education the other day, on the whole we need to foster a culture where fear of failure or learning should be minimized.
Agreed. I know the day I’ll die, it’s the day I stop learning. Fingers crossed I have much more failing yet to do but for now I’ll just sit back and enjoy the amazing bass and overall soundscape produced by these Martilos
The more ‘AI’ infiltrates online communities the harder it has become to deduce if it’s a well-meaning newbie or a troll or a silicon bot.
Problem here is there are those HERE that WILL also say something is the best and don’t bother looking anymore.
Yes but the difference is if someone has tried it they can say, in their opinion - always assume this, that it is the ‘best’. We’re ranting about people asking for a recommendation of the ‘best’ with no other info…

Your example is vastly better than What are the best bookshelf speakers for bass?
At least he’s read and learned, narrowed it to two devices and listed some parameters, budget, etc. The other is just a shot in the dark looking for best bass out of bookshelf speakers. Come on.
