I just lost all of my foobar2k playlist. I wanted to assign ctrl W to close foobar, but I didn’t realise that it was already assigned to deleting playlist. So, after I assigned the ctrl W into exiting foobar, I tried the ctrl W, but the foobar is not closing. I spammed the ctrl W for a while and I realised all of my playlists are gone. I should’ve backed up my playlist, but I didn’t think that I would ever lose them. What a silly thing.

Trying to return my failing Porta Pro through Amazon and get a replacement. JFC this sucked.
So first, I for some reason cannot select “replace” as an option. Fine.
I open a live chat and tell the lady on the other end my issue. Then she tells me I cannot get a replacement because they are out of stock of the black Porta Pro. ??? It literally says it’s in stock. That can’t be why. No way.
Then she drops out, and a different rep fills in. Another 10 minutes of doing the same thing.
She tells me I can return them and re-purchase. Hell no. I got these on sale for $19.99 and I’m not going to pay 50% of that for no reason. (Yeah I’m cheap, but shoe-string budget). So I ask her if I can get a free return label and contact the Koss storefront to appeal for replacement.
She says yes and says she’ll pull up the contact. 10 minutes of waiting later, she gives me Koss’s customer support phone number that I could have found in ten seconds. Honestly, I should have just expected that.
…
I guess I’ll shoot Koss an email and see what they have to say. Even if I’m stuck at a loss, I’ll accept it, but I’m just wondering why I spent an hour for no real gain.

Like i put in here before. Im trying to buy a house now and have been looking before this all. The prices we scoffed at before are blown out of the water and are the new norms by 100k. Buyer protections are being stripped and some people are offering insane amounts over asking and saying dont worry i dont want an inspection to get houses. Not to mention there is always a cash offer that for some reason makes it more valuable than if you need to mortgage it (seller gets their money either way).
The county has actually stopped assessing houses for taxes as property values keep going up they dont want to overtax people too much. Imagine that. The town that needs your tax money to function and has raised taxes to the highest in the country for the past 50 years just said “no thanks” as that would be ridiculous since property values changed ao rapidly

I am currently doing a three-week refresher course in the Swiss Army and we are not allowed to go home because of the coronavirus so that the virus does not get into the barracks.

Bought headphones on ebay listed brand new, but they werent. Got my money back with the refund but no shipping label to send them back. Now I feel weird and the Seller hasnt had any communication with me. Just looms over my head making me think when or even if ill hear anything back from them.

Fuckin’ EVERYTHING right now… The shoes I bought less then six months ago? The soles are already falling off. My GR-i68 had the back fall off the left side, only to have a channel imbalance after fixing it. The Koss ProtaPro X I MMCX modded now has a buzzing in the left channel… AGH!!!

The song-catalog bonanza of 2020 just hit a peak that is not likely to be topped: Universal Music Publishing Group has acquired Bob Dylan’s entire catalog of songs in a blockbuster agreement encompassing more than 600 copyrights spanning 60 years, ranging from 1962’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” to this year’s “Murder Most Foul.” His catalog was previously administered by Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
Terms were not disclosed, but a source tells Variety that the deal was easily in nine figures. Since 80% of Stevie Nicks’ publishing catalog was acquired by Primary Wave last week for a reported $100 million, the Dylan catalog probably drew a number well above that.
Not sure how I feel about this… It’s always nice for the ownership rights of music to stay with musicians but not sure what these types of asset sales have to do long term.

Every time I use my vacuum cleaner I wonder how is it we have all this fancy high tech stuff now days, but something as simple as a long power cord that’s flexible enough to be coiled while not also adhering to itself remains unicorn material.

Silicone cables exist (or real Rubber ones). Neither is particularly cheap and therefor not used on “home gamer” devices.

Not much of a rant but more like an embarrassing moment last night. Me and my friends were basically having our typical Discord voice chat when we are free, and as usual we are discussing things that are in our interests. As the hours of discussion and gaming sessions keep on going and passing bit by bit, there was that moment that I knew I fell asleep during VC, and I didn’t know that I passed out during our session of voice chat. It happens lol and I guess my sleep cycle at that time was a bit of a mess and I am not going to lie, it is still a bit of a mess for I am not much of a morning person, for I function more during the afternoon or evening.
less of a rant and more of an open question… Don’t want to start a cable debate as I actually am in the camp that cables do make a difference or can… but JFC these XLR interconnects retailed for $25K ???
how good can these actually be? Even with a $500k system would people still spend $25k on interconnects?
If I had a $500k system I’d not worry about spending $50k+ on cables tbh.

Focusrites Drivers are better than most other audio interface drivers.
Their 1st and 2nd Generation of Scarlett interfaces are solid choices. However, that second Generation has one big issue!
That issue are applications that can’t handle audio past 48kHz sample rate, like Discord.
So, what do you get when you combine Discord with a Scarlett 2i4?

Freaking Behringer Uphoria el-cheapo interfaces for less than a quarter of what I paid for my 2i4 have better drivers than that.

PC just straight up refuses to boot to bios, tried reseating GPU, CPU and ram (along with trying one stick from both kits in each individual slot) nothing seems to happen, just no output to the screen.
The annoying thing is, I know that the pc works when it wants to, its gotten worse since I moved it to a different room as it had to have me hold in the graphics card an extra bit just to boot, now not even that works. Also my cat somehow managed to get it to work the other day yet I can’t
I have a feeling that its something to do with the tolerances of my case as I remember the graphics card originally didn’t feel like it was going into the motherboard correctly. I’m gonna try to take it apart and run the components outside the case after work tomorrow.

I had a similar issue that on boot it would stick on the asus screen, the windows screen. It would fully boot sometimes but not always. I got all my valuable data off then i figured step 1 is update the bios. After this it was stuck in a boot loop that i didnt want to interrupt because all instructions tell you jot to do so. Fuck me i thought. I tried to break it snd restart but same thing. As a last ditch i tried booting to a bootable disk. I got it to grab and go from there. I had to wipe and reload windows but it has been ok since.
If you do take it apart and it boots on the desk. Make sure not to over tighten anything when reinstalling. I had a pal who kept shorting his mobo and only figured it out when he loosened one of the standoffs.
Good luck. Computer problems are some of the things i hate the most.

Thanks, I might try out a bootable disk at some point not sure if I have one lying about although I should since I put Ubuntu on my laptop relatively recently.
I’m gonna be very annoyed if it works outside the case and then I put it back in and it doesn’t work 
(I just feel like this will end up happening to me on the day my bf2 arrives…)
