I’m not sure if I necessarily like a lot of it, but it’s almost always great headphone music. Good music to listen to your gear. Similar to how I feel about Yosi Horikawa-not music I would listen to in my car but 100% on my headphones and speakers
Yeah I get that. I like it a lot personally but the reason I am happy is because it breaks the usual audiophile trend when I see speakers being demoed
Using Yes as an example, I’d introduce someone to Roundabout, I’ve Seen All Good People, Etc then move into the deeper cuts. Spongle is like starting with Tales From Topographic Oceans and telling them its going to get a lot weirder
Power out for the second time today and third in 4 days. Need more candles.
Mostly my clogged nose but I also suspect slight ear deformation.
First time buying a car, I applied for financing, and my mind is FUCKING RACING
What car are you buying?
I applied for financing on a 2011 Chevy HHR LT with 103k miles, no reported accidents and previous use has been Fleet and Rental use. CarMax is taking their time with my application. Sent in an application for DriveTime as well, though initially theirs is “do an application just to see what your lowest down payment could be!” (great, so every time I wanna see what financing is gonna look like, then I’ve gotta take a hard mark to my credit). I, unfortunately, was not aware that was how DriveTime worked. With them I’m looking at a 2013 Nissan Rogue S with 48.5k miles
The HHR has that wagon/Avant look and I dig that. I miss my wagon, but it was a MONEY PIT so good riddance. The miles on that Nissan are crazy low.
Usually with persoanl loans it’s a soft pull when you just want to see what you potentially qualify for and what the down payment might be, but probably different with car loans . I hate applying for financing as my anxiety rages. I hope it works out and maybe you will get a choice and be accepted for both.
I’ve been waiting for a tiny opamp coming from Indiana in the States through the USPS Postal service. I’ve been waiting since november 24th. I believe its still in Indiana and when I contacted the USPS they left me a voicemail. I’ll paraphrase that voicemail which said, Hey we don’t have your package, do our job for us and call Indiana’s office and see what they can do about the package that hasn’t moved. . .
Channel imbalance…
All three Porta Pros I have owned are centered or maybe slightly left (sound centered to me because of my slightly worse left ear) but my KPH30i leans slightly right.
As it is, the slight imbalance in the KPH30i is not bad, but it just sounds wrong switching from the Porta Pro, and I get overly concious about sounds in the right channel because of this. Opposite when going from the KPH30i to a Porta Pro.
I’ve actually been warned against both by my grandpa who was a master mechanic for Ford for over 20 years after getting out of the Marines, then ran his own business doing automotive repair until he got into an accident(was trying to fix an old 60’s era Shelby Cobra, went to test drive it and the throttle stuck when pulling out of the driveway, launching the car into a pipe fence on the other side of the road).
Redirected me to a local car lot he trusts and has bought from. Test drove one of these:
NOTICE This isn’t the exact truck I drove, but same model year, body(except for that side step and flashing around the window, I missed that) and color (one pictured might be slightly better condition). Guy wants ~$4k got 182k miles on it. Insurance isn’t too bad from what I was looking up.
Or fucking Diana Krall!
Still no news about my video card replacement and it has been like many weeks and it is going to be a month of me waiting for it. It came to a point that my grandma got concerned about it as well, even though she should not be. She pretty said this to me “Call them right now! so I can give them some words about it!” and hoooo boy even though she was speaking to them in her usual polite and calm demeanor, behind those words of hers are like in a feel of warning someone or even threatening, and it is true on the saying that you should be more scared of the folks who tend to be more polite and gentle, because once they get angry they are a different person.
Well after that, they pretty much messaged me and said that they will look some updates of it within the day and if not, we did say that if you cannot still provide a replacement of it, we are just going to get a refund and buy an another video card that has more availability of it, it is not helping much since they said that the card is a limited edition card, meaning its production is not widespread. I don’t want it to be replaced with a new one since it is a gift, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do just to make things work for you again.
I am currently paying on a 2017 Escape and have been very impressed after 4 years. It is under warranty, however the only issue I have had is the sunroof needed to be reset at one point. Pretty solid vehicle so far. My stepdad’s father retired from Ford (not sure exactly what he did), but this is my first Ford and 4th car overall. I loved working on my car, and miss driving a manual, but was ready for a break this round. The guy my dad uses for his landscaping maintenance drives one of those rangers around and loves the thing.
It’s a first vehicle, commuting a-b, running errands, and able to take my bike for a trail ride or move without having to rent a truck if I want to kinda vehicle. Parts should be cheap enough and easy to find. Besides, I found through Mercury Insurance full coverage should be $133/month.
All my cars were 10-15 years old when I got them, so a solid route for your first, or second or third haha. Like you said parts should be relatively cheap and easy to find, you tube videos and a Haynes manual and you are good to go to fix it yourself most of the time. I had a 97’ GMC Sierra with a camper shell and I use to throw a blow up mattress in the back and go car camping often to do some hikes.
I just got a $250 Amazon gift card, so looked up the KPH30i and did a double take. it’s $65 CAD now. what the hell?
That’s wild. I remember when the KSC75 was like $50 CAD not too long ago. Sucks that Koss’s availability outside the US is so spotty. That and their build/design quality.
