Is it a free site ? Seems like its to sell gear. So buyer beware.

This is how it looks for me using Brave.

Win 11 has been patched oretty quickly when something goes amiss. and really, for any new software you will always be s beta tester as resl world issues start when it goes live. there is only so much you csn do in the controlled sandbox at the lab.

stilk waiting on a GPU go for my rig to install We in 12 on it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Never in my life that a statement that hurts me in a way, that is also true. For we technically do not own things that we bought anymore, I miss the days when I actually purchased a product and it really is MINE, meaning I have the physical copy of it.

Well, at least there’s Hifi as a hobby, and at least you own those. Too much technological advancement can be a detriment, at some point we need to realize that it’s ok to stagnate its growth for now.

Anyone else have those days where you just keep getting shafted when it comes to hours, and it’s more because of someone else?
Week of Christmas, bosses decided no work that Thursday or Friday. Okay, I can deal with that.
Week of New Years, was going to be another short week, just having Monday and Friday off for the holiday weekends. Kinda sucks to have another short week, but okay… Then I loose Thursday as well because the two other people who had to be there took last minute PTO, cause otherwise they’d loose it. -_-
This week. Monday off, normal week the rest of the week right? Nope. One of the guys hasn’t been in all week, and we got shafted today because the company that my employer has a contract with hasn’t been making what we’re working on available to us, resulting in only 3.5 hours today. When it takes me 40-60 min to drive each way. Now I get called to be told they can’t promise any availability tomorrow, so no work tomorrow either.
Needless to say, third short pay period in a row, by no fault of my own, and I’m a little irritated.

how often do the short weeks happen?

How HARD is it to ship one item from SPAIN to ESTONIA? Like Jesus Christ, FedEx get your shit together.

It hasn’t been up until recently.

Well There’s Your Problem
I would bet the local bike delivery kid from next door would get the job done better…with a tricycle.

Tbh if you’d give him that stuff that Armstrong was on, he’d probably pedal quicker than those truck and delivery drivers. I don’t think I’ve had a problem with them before, but it’s incomprehensible why every one in EU isn’t using DHL. My package hasn’t been scanned since 29. December when it was still in Spain, according to r/FedEx that’s pretty normal.

I feel your pain, I had FedEx destroy the same order 3 times trying to get everything I wanted. I don’t know what the hell they had against me…

I think the big problem with FedEx is the routes are sold independently so they are not technically all managed under FedEx directly. They are not franchises technically, but the inconsistencies in service I think are due to this business model.

A bit of a spicy take, but let’s go.

So, I’ve bought one of these “4-core graphene” cables from XINHS on 11.11. It took more than a month for them to arrive, understandable and not unheard of in my country. When I try to connect them to my Tin T2, surprise: they don’t fit. Here’s why.

One of the mmcx connectors is wrong, it does not have a cut that seems to make the housing flex so the connector can enter the IEM side.

I contacted XINHS and they immediately recognized the problem. They however asked for me to buy something else because they would not pay the shipping for just the replacement. This was a little shady already, but for the sake of quickness, I bought an adapter. Roll another month and the adapter arrives, but with no cable. Only this time, my time with a claim with Aliexpress had already passed.

Asked them again about it, they said I didn’t specify to them to send the new cable (which I did) and they asked for AGAIN buy something else before sending a replacement. I was really not pleased, but after leaving a 1-star review they apparently took a little more serious and gave me an order for $0.1 just to “have an order number”, for whatever reason. I will update here if I receive the correct cable (or not) but, so far, I don’t think I’m buying any more cables from them.

Yeah that kind of problem I had experience of that as well but with a Bluetooth transmitter that I bought from TRN. They said the item that I bought was a 2-pin meaning I assume that it is going to be universally compatible to all of my IEMs as long as they have a 2-pin connection. Turns out they delivered me a fucking 2-pin that has a shroud on meaning I cannot even use it to any of my IEMs and returning it can be a bit of a pain in the ass and waiting is not something that I wanted to do that day, until I have decided “Fuck it” I solved the issue by just removing the shroud by force via cutting it off with a cutter, looks ugly but at least it works now.

I also had a weird issue with XINHS too, so I got the same MMCX graphene, and one side was not working ( also ordered on 11.11 ). It took nearly 4 weeks to get here. I also had to order a thing to get another order number, also a different thing, and there was a discount code on it, so it was $1 or something. By the time I got that cable it was end of December.

It worked out ok, but it seemed pretty scam laden at the time. For added bonus it was my first Aliexpress order, which wasn’t confidence inspiring.

Been buying stuff from AliExpress since 2019 and this is one of the few major issue. Another one was with Bright Audio Store, a KZ Bluetooth bought from them wasn’t working. They paid shipping back to China and made full refund. Now I gladly buy from them and recommend them. They have less deals than others stores but the confidence built by that customer response is worth it IMO.

Whenever they pay or reimburse for something to come back to China — those are keepers. Noted, thanks!

How are all the european members and is there anything to be concerned about ?

Update: cable arrived today, surprisingly fast for Ali. It works fine, has a overall fine (although a little plastic-ish) feel. Don’t know if its the whole experience talking to me but the cable is fine, but nothing of the special everyone talks about.

One thing this cable made me realize is the design of the original 7Hz cable regarding mmcx connector. The cable come out relatively easy, but only when pushed. As someone who hates this connection and always thinks this will break, I really appreciate this design that apparently is easy to change but still secure enough.
