try updating everything, including firmware and then a factory reset?
I had something similar with my Velvet 5G, then one day it started behaving. no idea what changed.
yep, I’ve done all the things I can do without root. Multiple resets, fiddling with all the settings, trying different updates and beta versions, messing with 3rd party apps, looking for workarounds, etc. Also spent like 4 hours on the phone with an agent trying to fix an activation issue and diagnose the signal issue which lead to nothing
I hope that’s the case here that some of these problems just magically fix themselves
btw…how can a wireless provider suddenly decide not to support one particular phone? I get retiring a whole communication protocol, like has been done in the past.
They told me it was because the phone didn’t support wifi calling (what? who cares and why does that matter here) and “my device will no longer function when the legacy network is discontinued.” Basically they are shutting down their CDMA network, and apparently the V30+ won’t support VoLTE with their new network (even though I was fucking using it beforehand) so it’s just going to turn into a paperweight. I would change providers but it seems like everything is going in this direction, and it’s not like any of the other providers have better service in my area
they kinda did that with my v50…and it’s like not that old. fucking tmobile.

Yep I had sprint, and after they merged they basically decided to fuck over older sprint customers as well I guess
so you can actually bypass their bullshit but it’s a mild inconvenience. if you go into the network and internet settings and click mobile network you can manually assign what network you’re using and force it to use one or the other.
You might be able to do that now, but I’m pretty sure that’s not going to be an option after new years (at least for me), seems they are hard shutting down CDMA after that. If they were willing to send me a literal free phone (albeit not a great one from my experience so far but better than bottom of the barrel), they likely will axe all support for the device otherwise I’m sure they would do anything to prevent sending people free “upgrades” lol
I cant believe they won’t do VoLTE…like there’s no way that isn’t just an update away from working. Must be some licensing thing or something weird like that holding it back.
They’ve probably just run the numbers and figured it’s cheaper and easier just to not deal with doing any legacy support and just give people new phones, that’s likely also a pr win for them as well because I’d guess most users would be happy to get a new phone anyways, the amount of people who would complain would be small in comparison
I swear, drops quality is just terrible. Several copies of Elex defective(not just me… btw 3 with me… but knowing others with the same problem I have seen 9 so far that are just straight up badly defective or broke rather quickly due to poor wiring)… known problems even now with it, I ordered shit off them even in terms of keyboards… more defective parts or bad soders, ordered 2 pc38x for christmas gifts the microphone literally doesn’t work on either of them and theres a bad channel balance on one of them. Get your shit together drop… all this trash is going back I will just buy third party from now on with those who have verified that the item is actually working… their return policy tends to make them pissy as well despite them offering it. PIsses me off because they offer 177x GO and Aeon over there which are two of my favorite headphones from them yet I have heard from some others even those have come with issues… somehow I guess maybe I got lucky on that account

sold an xd-05 plus + bt module on ebay for £180 (pretty good price imo for both and they’re in really good condition, buyer returned it claiming it wasn’t charging, just received it today and it’s clearly working just fine, so they’re either so dumb they didn’t try to use the included cable, or are lying just because they regret buying it

Yeah, that’s the experience I’ve had with Ebay. Buyer claims there’s something wrong, and it doesn’t matter if you prove they’re lying, Ebay forces the refund.

In the future I want to buy a new laptop anything up to £900. I am looking at lap tops from medium quality on the way to premium (but not premium). To make it simple I concentrated on laptops which will already have Windows11. However When I researched Windows 11 there are a lot of users who are not happy with it. So I started to watch Youtube video how to set up/navigate on Windows11 It started of by explaining hot to find all the apps registered on the computer (what used to be programmes) under the heading ‘All Apps’ I will not find ‘all’ the apps so the video explained I had to go to settings and jump through a few hoops until I came to option ‘Add or remove Apps’ where all the registered apps will be there. If this is the new cutting edge logic behind Windows 11 no wonder its upset so many users…

That’s a huge upgrade for value, you could sell the Pixel 6 and buy a V40 or whatever you want, LG’s flagships are ridiculously cheap second hand.
That is a big understatement. I run Windows 11 for work, and am not a fan.
My gaming machine will probably get replaced at some point in the next year. My gaming laptop has a GTX1650 and so far I haven’t passed on anything I wanted to play, but I figure it will happen at some point in the next year or so.
I have been running Windows 11 for 4-5 days now. First impressions are that it’s not so bad. I do have a printing issue that is clearly driver related, that is mildly annoying. Other than that it’s been OK. Early days, tho…
For the rant, I HATE that everything wants to update all the time. Seems like it never ends anymore. Oh well, brave new world and all that rot!

This is why I am one of the people who are not looking forward for a new OS from Microsoft, for that kind of bullshit experience was a thing for me when I was able to try, that was new at the time, Windows 8.
Not only I have experienced that with Windows 8, Windows 10 as well when it was first new with all of the bullshit bugs and driver issues that makes you want to rip your hair out for you know, you never HAD any issues with Microsoft’s previous OSs and the last damn good OS I have experienced with them would be Windows 7.
I am not installing Windows 11 unless it’s stable enough or a necessity, since I still have no issues with my rig that has Windows 10 installed. And to be honest, I am not going to beta-test their new OS for free because of that nonsensical bullshit from them.
