When I ordered mine on April 23 and when it arrived May 1st I ended up paying $918.39 CAD all in.
UPS import fees on this order totaled $102.53 CAD. Thatās on top of the $815.86 CAD that the amp cost after current exchange rate via PayPal / Visa.

Interesting, I paid $44 for import feesā¦I am in Alberta. Maybe that has an impact on the amount of taxes I paid?
Iām in Ontario. Did your arrive via UPS?
Nice photos BTW. Good looking amp, the green is growing on me. Hope to see an iteration of this amp with balanced in / out.
Let us know what you think after you get to use it some. I canāt stop listening to mine.
As I recall Alberta doesnāt have a sales tax. So you only pay like 6 or 7% federal tax? Most of us pay 13 to 15% in a harmonized sales tax, so that would be quite a difference.
Iām looking for something a little smaller for another area. Have any of you heard the Geshelli Archel 2.5 Pro? If so, how does its sound compare to the RebelAmp?
Considering itās trying to compete with the 789 in terms of cleanliness, probably that.
I would say the archel 2.5 pro is the superior amp in sound quality to the thx, so thereās that lol
Also damn Iām going to get a rebel amp when they come back in stock lol, really want to hear one
Iām gonna see if I can do a size comparison with my sisterās Jotunheim. Because I am still in awe at the size of this thing lmao
It does look like quite the amp lol, having the topping on there really shows its size for me at least
I know I said it several days ago, but I still canāt stop listening to this thing. I donāt think youāll be disappointed. Iāve been listening to Sarah Jarosz: Undercurrent this morning and it sounds fantastic.
Very curious about it, I wonder how it will compete with something like the Gilmore lite mk2 or the rnhp, but who knows lol
Man Iām a huge fan of hers seen her live 3 times.. got her to sign that record a few years back and was listening to it last night!
Nice collection, I really want to get an HP-3 to try.
LOL, awesome! I really enjoy her stuff, but you are a true fan.
how do you think the rnhp compares to the 789?
Easily my preferred, I really dislike thx as imo I prefer the atom to the thx as imo thatās a better sounding amp. I think the rnhp is way better at recreating space, separation, imaging, timbre, and actually is more neutral/true to life than thx. I also think the rnhp has more control over headphones than the thx. The only thing thx has over the rnhp is power imo, and if you wanted power something like the cayin iha6, gilmore lite mk2, liquid plat, and now the rebelamp (I of course canāt endorse it yet since I havenāt heard it personally, but I am excited to hear one when they come back in stock, but so far experiences are promising), etc. I really just donāt like the thx amps if you canāt tell, I just think they fail at doing what they are supposed to, and bested by amps like 1/4 the price for the goal of accurate neutral sound with a measurement focus. I am not opposed to good measuring amps, but thx is a great example of numbers over sound, where the atom and heresy provide those numbers and still maintain good sound quality
Looking forward to what youāll have to say about it when you get the chance mon.
