But honestly… it do sound a little bit different, which I compare my duw02 and xinhs graphene
Duw02 gives a warmer tone
Now waiting for my kbear 8 core limpid pro pure sliver
Sure. If it sounds better to you, by all means, use it! what matters is what your ears get joy with! It’s all about the music
13:00 mark here is what a cable can do to a sensitive IEM and keep in mind he is using a 15 OHM load and a sensitive IEM.
Btw the ifi IEMatch is a really useful product if you get hiss or need to drop the DB on a powerful amp with sensitive IEMs.
Edited to the better explanation of impedance.
A funny for me…Wanted to get a new cable for my og Andro’s…went with Forza (a great EU cable maker) a Silver/Copper hybrid cable…expecting more bass (copper) and extending the already ethereal highs with the silver…Nah but it did “Anneal” all the frequencies to a “smoother” listening experience not what I expected tbh so still use that cable on that set today
Isn’t the OG Andromeda the IEM that changes with cables resistance? It was even graphed
Do it, do it!
Why you guys don’t like head fi. Any particular reason?
Too many shills, too many fools.
You can answer “they all sound the same when they fall on the ground”
Aye she’s delicate, green, cute and un-replaceable in my collection…how folks hear or perceive what cables can… down with that shit though.
Hows the forza cable tho? Mind a photo? Just found their website and I like that is EU (and has vat included so no customs oh yeeeah)
I do not know what that is.
It’s the DUW02 that does not come with the EST112. That one is MMCX. I could measure it but I’d have to disconnect the MMCX which I hate doing.
I have real sensitive equipment and IEMs and I have heard very minute differences between pure silver and copper cables, but not much in the way of frequency response. It has more to do with technicalities, stage, imaging and the overall perceived weight of the music. BUT THESE DIFFERENCES ARE MINISCULE!
But changing cable to alter the actual sound characteristics of the sound, NOPE!
In the end, everything matters somewhat. When you’re squeezing out those last few percentages of quality. But if you’re watching You Tube, streaming audio or listening to MP3 files, differences in cables won’t matter. If you’re worrying about your cable, make sure you’re already listening on a high end amp and a DAC in the $1000.00 and up category. Even then, you don’t have to break the back to get a good quality and good measuring cable.
This. People neglect stuff like lossless or even 320kpbs, tips, sources (not using dacs) but spend hundreds on cables Most of them don’t even get a seal with their tips. It’s sad.
Saw a post on reddit some weeks ago of a guy who bought a Mest OG as his first IEM, but was pluging it to his mother board and old phone with a jack to listen podcasts on youtube. If you gonna spend kilobucks, spend at least half an hour on google and grab an apple dongle or something
Precog, which everyone knows, it’s one of the best reviewers imo and my our tastes are close about some stuff. He everyday carries an U12T (2000 usd) with a 10 dollar cable and an apple dongle from his phone or DX200.
Spend the money where it matters (and not like me that spends money on cables for the looks
)
daaaaaaaaamn. that’s the hybrid? gonna have to grab it one of this days thanks for the photos
