Recommended IEM Cables

Dude! You’re killing it with the photos. Anything you want to get better at, just put more effort into it and do it. Great photos! Does that Oracle look familiar?

I just spoke with XINHS tonight. I’m asking him to work on my first custom cable (which isn’t for an IEM) and just wanted to say they guy is awesome to work with.

He quoted me a ridiculously low price for the custom cable we were discussing and I told him no that I wanted to pay him more. He agreed but then started asking if I’d like to add custom adapters or something like that for the additional money I was trying to give him. He didn’t understand I was trying to tip him more money in appreciation for him making something special for me.

I can’t say enough good things about how humble he is and how good his work has been.

Buy from this guy!!!

Tipping in China isn’t common compare to western culture, and some even reject tips for the pride of their work. But damn I’m really impressed with how they handle their products, definitely earn many respects including me!

Oh god, I remember the days when I used to believe that expensive cables can improve the sounds of your earphones, until BGGAR debunked that shit with a video that pretty much decimates my belief of that. Nowadays, I just buy IEM cables for durability, softness and looks

Yes. Only stuff that matters.

My tier is Comfort > quality > looks.

I own a couple hundred dollars worth of cables because I love to match and im a look freak, but comfort has to come first. Doesnt matter how good a cable looks, if it doesnt work or you cant use it because its not comfortable.

Yes, best store around. The guy moves mountains to try to get you what you want. To get my graphene cable, he even bought the mini xlrs from another store just to assemble it.

So far, both Yinyoo and NIcehck are serving me well in terms of comfort and durability while the looks imo are so far doing me well with Yinyoo. I know Xinhs cables are a thing but the issue I have with them is that I cannot seem to find a seller of those cables here in my country, and I am not even sure if I can trust AliExpress with the ordering processing and shipping since I don’t use Ali.

If the case for Ali is not like that, then I will order those Xinhs cable there instead, would have been a better alternative for my Moondrop Aria.

Aliexpress works good for me. It’s not amazon tier (god tier), but it works. Usually I get xinhs cables in around 7 work days. The waiting sucks but it’s not that bad and the quality is worth it. I get a feeling I’m paying more when I buy cables from other stores for cheaper cables.

I’ll give them a try if I have the moolah again for those cables of course, and I have some other stuff to buy other than IEMs, Headphones, DAC/AMPs and Cables. Currently planning to get a new PC case for my rig since I want to give the current case that I have to my little brother since the case that he is still using in a blunt answer, is old as fuck aka no glass side panel, no easy cable management access but surprisingly has a lot of fan access.

Yeah, this hobby is as good as it gets, but only if you can afford it. Always be ok with what you spend

I need to spend less on cables and more on IEMs tho, lol… Also thinking about a portable tube amp.

No problems with Aliexpress for Xinhs cables here either, and usually get here (UK) in around 10 days. Have got 4 cables so far, last one being the 4 core graphene and absolutely love it, went straight on to my Teas.

Got some nice pics of that 4 core? Want to take a look vs my 8 core.

Teas

Ha - I might be able to take some pics, but not on the level of the macro shots from Rikuduo/Resolution though!

No problem, we arent judging! You can do it

@nymz ok, here goes. The only thing I don’t like is the plastic slider but I never use them anyway so if I can I’m going to try and remove it (carefully!).

Having a chat with the XINHS guy now to see if he can make a cable for the Z1R’s…he said he’ll need get the Sony type MMCX connectors from a third party to make up the cable…let’s see what happens next as I’ve not decided on which cable yet :man_shrugging:

Gonna have to try again when I’ve got a better internet signal :grimacing::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I had to go to sleep, but after our conversation, the XINHS guy had my cable complete and shipped before I woke up. Amazing work!
