Are you using the tuning foams? That will definitely help reduce the 2,5k peak.
Yes those are the ones! Big improvement, thanks for the rec!
(if you wanna play with it more, you could for example, cut it in half if you dont want it to dampen too much or even put in another one if you want it to dampen more.)
2021-12-08: Back with another mod, this time for the ikko OH10.
-
Remove the stock mesh and the attached tuning foams.
-
Add 1 piece of high-density tuning foams and then add 1 tanchjim filter.

Cheapest way to get Tanchjim filters is from the Tanchjim Tanya.
Quick question for all of you XINHS boys; do his standard .78" 2pin connectors (on the cables) fit well in recessed 2pin IEMs (like Fearless and GS Audio use), or does anyone know if he has some type that does fit those sockets well? Thanks in advance!
It does!
Sweet, thanks! It kinda looked that way, but I just wanted to be sure in case I had to make a special request or the like.
@Rikudou_Goku any experience with the final vr3000s? just got a crazy good deal on them new (hoping the order isn’t cancelled because of it)
WTF!!!
MSRP is at 80 usd…
(I have no clue on how they sound though…and no graphs AFAIK.)
the store selling them (hifiheadphones) had a coupon for black friday for amazon for £31 off, while it was at £70, which matches their own websites price currently, i guess they forgot about the coupon and reduced the amazon price for now
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08PJD4WWX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 coupon is still showing for me you could try having them shipping to wherever you live but idk if they’d do it
Sale price doesnt show up in cart
you need to click the voucher thing just underneath the price lol
Yeah, just noticed it.
just checked their website and they deliver internationally so hopefully they have more than one pair
It does work. Currently checking reviews. No graphs on it is quite risky…
@Morphitsu Thanks for the heads-up… that price tag is itching me pretty bad…
I know Chinese, so to summarize this review:
The guy compared it to the A3000 and A4000, and to summarize:
- VR3000: attached cable with mic / fun, big sound stage & pinpoint imaging, good bass, good for gaming
- A3000: detachable cable / neutral, balanced, thick, good for monitoring
- A4000: detachable cable / detailed, best clarity, more treble, vocals in front
Really tempting to try out the Japanese tuning…
EDIT: Purchased.
All aboard the train.
