IRiver used to make pretty decent mp3 players but I guess that bussiness went down
I might be a bit harsh, honestly early MP3 players all had some level of compromise. Heck my first one was a Diamond Rio with a massive 32mb of storage space…
32mb!!! Oh damn, dont think I ever experienced something like that. (although I have no idea what the specs on my dumbphone was like 12 years ago or something.)
My first Mp3 was a shitty white label with 16mbs. Good old times.
Rocked this one for years:
Then moved to iPod classic 32gbs
Yep It was like $200 or so at the time and a 128MB smart media card was also a few hundred as well.
I only remember the time when external HDD´s at 1TB was around 100 usd (nowadays you can get 4-5TB for that price lol).
It was worth it at the time, because what anyone tells you anti skip portable CD players were not really anti skip. They were just slightly less skip.
I guess you are younger than some of us man, hahaha. I had one of those when i was like 15
Modern ones are better since they have enough memory to store a whole song or a few songs in buffer, but back then it was like 5 seconds of “anti skip” if that.
Indeed, I am only 21.
Hey @Rikudou_Goku i think i found the next IEM for you to review, i am sure you will have no problem purchasing this one out of your own pocket!
and here I am complaining if the music stuttered for a milliseconds lol.
I was probably still rocking a Walkman at that age.
Saw that one before and that price made me think I was looking at a Swedish site. (if that was 6600 swedish Krona, it would only be around 770 usd.)
Le birddddd. At least it comes with a 2k cable, am i right?
8 BA and 4 EST… not a single dynamic…
Even if it wasn’t over 6 grand that would be a hard pass for me.
Yeah, know the feeling. But would love to try U12T tho
Hahaha no idea, the only way i would spend USD$6600 in an IEM is if i won the lottery, like twice
