Exactly lol. Way too little choices here and no stores that you can demo stuff…
The A8000’s is a perfect example of this style all be it Japanese…still a set I’d like to own
Both japanese and chinese music generally emphasize that area, so its no surprise they want it boosted lol.
Thanks good material for some deeper insight, is there any brand that makes tuning for european ear specifically.? Rhetorical question. As there perhaps even no such thing as european tuning but it should be much closer to states than asia. Too much asian style tuning around and ofcourse who are we from europe with so small population and all normal brands outside of our old and forgotten europe.
Not sure if there is a chifi brand with a more western house tuning.
But ibasso and lz have some different tuned iems.
Of course stuff like Sony and Intime are also different but they are Japanese.
Hmmm probably the UM Mest? Or the Sony Z1R. Those are the 2 IEMs that I can think of right now. The UM Mest has 2 versions, the JP and international. The international one has a lifted bass and a little bit tamed highs tuning.
Edit: Woops I thought you were talking about any Asian brands. I don’t know any for Chi-Fi brands
yeah, I dont think there is a chi-fi brand that ALWAYS goes for a more western tuning.
Yeah basically thought of any chifi brand that are usually more accesible because of their good pricing. Mes and z1r already in high end teritory of iems so not ant option for mid fi guy as me. But still not all asian tuning is made the same so there are some that really good or should be for my ears from seeing graphs. So will go Rikudou way - order and test. No better way than listening
Well how about fiio tunings. How do you see them, are they more concentrating to their region or more broader audience. IMO this brand looks like china country in smaller scale that has gool to concuer all world at the end china with their business model and fiio with inovations, new products rapid grow and still giving better prices than some competitors in west.
The FH3 is pretty atypical chi-fi, but the FD5 is like a hybrid of both.
the sad thing is the TRN BA8 story,
the tuner want it to have a smooth upper mid sound,
but TRN said “that tuning wont have a good feedback with our market segment”
so they tune it with super duper shouty upper midrange,
then in the forum, the community actually blame the tuner for tuning it like that.
Whats the point of having a tuner if they arent going to listen to them lol.
Classic corporate story lol.
Well, after the cable talks we have been having. I got interested in finding some new cable recs and guess what, I found 4 potentially good ones and ordered them all.
The 8 core pure silver cable and the 4 core Single Crystal Copper looks quite good. (that copper cable looks like cable 168 and the silver cable looks like the LitzPS/limpid-pro but almost half the price.)
Seems like that is the OEM for a lot of bigger brands like NiceHCK, kbear/Tri and others.
So that would explain why they have the Limpid/LitzPS-Pro cable for almost half the price lol.
I love to talk cables. Can’t wait to hear your reactions.
This one looks so beautiful. So nice to see something different than the traditional silver/cooper/black you usually find.
Check this cable out then… I’ve heard very good things about it. I’m not a fan of the color personally but it might up your alley?
That’s also a really nice one, but that’s a little too expensive for me. I try to stay under $50 on a cable, usually hunt around $20 to $30.
Still, I will keep tabs on then, maybe in a sale I can get them for a good price. Anyway, thanks.
Well, I guess I am happy to tell you that the brand I ordered from is actually the OEM for Linsoul as well.
same cable as the euphrosyne but 20 usd cheaper lol.
I knew there was a similarity there. You da man!
Do you know if they also make the EST cable? It’s my favorite. I have a lot of them already, but it would be nice if I could get them cheaper…
