In you cable list in the Google sheets, you have one measurement, that’s the left connector right?
I just measured the 6 and 8 core Yinyoo cables with my pretty rudimentary multimeter. In the 6-core the right measures roughly 0.3 while the right measures 0.5. It’s nice to have the option to wear the IEMs straight down though, especially with the T2.
The 8-core measured about 0.2, so that’s pretty decent. I have those on the FH3, what I really didnt’ like was the amount of force I needed to use to get them on the FH3. Mostly the left was hard to get on, and now it turns suspiciously easy, but I feel like I’ll rip the whole IEM apart if I’d try to get it loose :P.
All in all, they beat the custom cables on measurement, feel and microphonics. Plus now I can use the balanced 2.5mm output of the BTR5 .
yeah, it is the left connector.
Do be careful about the mmcx connector, as it usually goes from a tight to a loose connection (that spins like a beyblade) and then in the worst case scenario, detaches itself due to the gravity.
(I got 1 iem like that and that is the urbanfun ISS014, although it is thanks to the QC problem it has, I fixed it with tape though…)
Not that bad yet, the right one you really need to apply force to twist, the left one now goes quite a bit easier, but you still need to apply some force. Funnily enough the left is also less sturdy on my T2’s.
Better not switch cables again on these than, thanks for all the info .
yeah, no problem. MMCX are a pain in the ass due to that reason, they arent made for frequent swaps…
Part 2 of my haul of tips.
Final Audio Type A
Extremely similar to the Elecom CAP20 but with a bit less treble and overall air, I recommend the Elecom over the Type A due to cost (almost 3 times cheaper) and compatibility (Type A struggles with bigger nozzles) advantages over the Type A.
Final Audio Type B
Poor fit for me, so take my evaluation on it with a grain of salt, a very bassy tip, not suited for very warm/bassy iems. Also struggles with iems with bigger nozzles. Not recommended.
JVC EP-FX2 (black and clear version)
Mid focused, not a lot of bass and treble isn’t very airy (kind of like the upper-treble is rolled-off), good for the price but NOT a budget spiral dot and very shallow fit, not recommended for iems with shallow nozzles like the Tanchjim Oxygen/Blon Bl-03.
JVC EP-FX8
Disqualified due to very poor fit, L size is much bigger than all other tips…I get no seal at all.
If you are someone with huge ears and tried all other tips and didnt get any good results (including the biggest size of azla sedna tips) then maybe I could recommend this to you. But otherwise it is horrible for me.
In conclusion, get the Elecom EHP-CAP20 and the Radius Deep mount tips. Those are really hidden gems.
Have you ordered radius deep mount from japan amazon.jp? As it really sounds like a thing i must buy for fh3. And this is the place i have seen it.
yeah here:
Thanks will try to get these and it should help to keep iems in my ears as with some shorter ans slipier tips like spirals i should put again and again back. These shold work much better
yeah, spríral dots are quite soft (especially the ++ version).
Havent tryed this version only original but as i heard ++ not so big improvements compared to original and with much bigger price. Dont know is it truth. For tips maniacs it is worth to try i gues but i am not so crazy have most 5 or 6 famous and many cheaper that will never be used and this is good amount to have for different tuning. Only this deep mount that you reccomended looked really interesting and worth to try for good price i should say
yeah, the deep mount is my favorite treble focused tips. Final Audio Type E favorite bass tips. Favorite balanced tips the Elecom EHP-CAP20.
I do think the ++ version is better than the standard spiral dots, but now that I got the Deep mount…well both of them are redundant.
And this is with everything when you get something better:) i wonder what are you doing with all your iems that didnt impress you after much better new piece of shiny new iem you got. Are you listening them still time after time or they are left in some dusty corner forgotten .
I will try perhaps these other tips too you say as i know that you came truth many and if you found them good i believe
I only really use my iems in the S to A- range…I do need to start selling my iems lol. Got too much…
Good tactics to use the best and this is really the bonus what you get after trying all other and knowing you use the best. And people who has one or two iems they will newer know what you could get, they believe this is cool. And they keep using old iem even now we have so many cheap and amazingly good iems around to try. But if it becomes obsession well you need to hide your wallet first . It is obsession. I am trying to bee free of this. At least trying
yeah, once you tried something at a higher level. It is very hard to go back down…
But as i understand you still on the middle ground not going to totl level ? This could be really dangerous for wallets. So your totl at the moment is zen right and after dunu zen your much more iems will be surely forgotten as i understand.
yeah, stuck in mid-fi lol.
Yes, my highest quality iem is the Zen right now. Although I love all my S ranked iems. So they wont be forgotten because of the Zen.
higher than that i think starts some dark watters where for what you spend you need to think twise and still price/ sound ration is so much worse that the familiar mid ground. So if i ever buy zen price iem it could be my end. But still not today only had a little bitt worry when you said zen bass is so better than fd 5. I still want to get fd but i also like berylium bass so this made me think a little as i like quality here
I believe that the 300 usd range is the best in terms of getting the most sound out of your money.
This is what i like to hear @Rikudou_Goku yeah more than 300 is in the future for me. Perhaps agree it is best spot right now to spent money but i think you should add this is with chifi as with western made iems usually it is a little bit higher.
