Riku when do you even have time for all this lol.
On side note got the 7hz Zero. Very impressive for 20 dollars
Having good priorities in life over here.
Finally, Berserker 2 is done!
L-shaped; Bassier than the Berserker 1 with much more sub-bass extension and improved textured. Stage is a lot deeper as well. Treble is warmer and safer. Mids are slightly recessed in comparison.
(Better sign up quick for it, otherwise my current batch of drivers will all be gone soon lol.)
The fact that the anc graphs nearly identical to anc off is huge.
Hi Riku, I picked up a Dunu DK2001 for a really good price because I remembered thinking it was great about a year and a half ago, and wanted to re-listen to the beryllium coated bass driver.
I had no issues with this set back then, but I was trained towards a very high pinna gain at the time (NM2+, SSR, D02). Looking at a graph, I’m already planning for what to do if I like it overall but find the pinna gain too high.
From previous posts, I feel like a way to lower those mids peaks would be tuning foams in the nozzle?
Either way the mids look a little forward too me… Anyway it was a worry free purchase, and it will be interesting for me to hear it with my current ears. Just checking if foam in the nozzle is the right modding move if I pursue it!
What about expensive cable rankings.
Like what if i just want the best and don’t care about the price?
How does NX7 compare to fio idsd micro signature or cayin c9?
Its nozzle modding essentially. Both tuning foams and damping filters can work and you can also mix them.
Here are my favorite filters:
(200 and 250 mesh dont do much.)
and the tuning foams I rec:
I already said this over and over again. cables are pure BS for sound. Get what you want in terms of looks, thickness, feel, weight…
I have none of those.
Thank you!
Genuinely curious. If they’re all crap, why do you have a ranking for them that’s also based on impedance.
I’m not saying i disagree, I’m just genuinely curious.
Thats for people wanting the lowest impedance possible. Its only appliecable if they have a multi driver low impedance iem though.
People asked for Balanced and Hakugei comes to the rescue.
(That bud is a Grand Class candidate in development.)
There are 3 4.4mm cables available right now, so if you want it for your reservation, its first come first served.
Your list breaks all the rules. Are you serious?
There are headphones for less than 50€ that you put ahead of more expensive ones. I am surprised by the. Cca cra.
Could you review the 7hz zero?
(Assuming you mean my iems, not my headphones compared to iems.)
Just because something is priced higher doesnt mean its gonna be better than something cheaper. There is no “rule” about that…
Im apparently not serious so, no.
Isn’t there already enough reviews of the 7Hz Salnotes Zero? Like get it if you want it, do you need more validation for a purchase. It will have good tone while lacking details of a more expensive set.
Modded, CCA CRA is awesome value for bass and detail.
They would have your head on headfi for saying price doesn’t matter. I definitely agree with you though.
I can only use them in certain situations (not much sound outside of me, no one to be bothered by sound leaking, not much movement to jostle cable)…
But I’m pretty sure the Grand Archer is one of my favorite audio experiences to date. Definitely my favorite bud, I can say that without hesitation at the least.
Really really impressed with the bass levels and quality considering it’s not a focus of the tuning. Such a great all round tuning for me. Fun, detailed, not sibilant, great stage and imaging thanks to being a bud. Legitimately gets me toe-tapping.
I think if I only use this for when I’m working in my room and colleagues/students might come in at any moment which could be embarrassing with IEMs… it’s worth it!
Wowww that’s a high praise! You’ve heard a lot of DD sets by now, so those must be very special
I can add that since getting earbuds (including a Rikubud), my Olina and S12 are gathering dust…
