Not had a lot of time with this set yet but so far with the right genre they rock…these are my first quick thoughts on stuff I’ve listened to so far…got all weekend ahead to do a lot more 
RATM Bullet in the Head is where this set plays it’s aces, that bass guitar is perfect as is the kick drum, proper weight and decay, when shit gets busy they have no problem keeping pace, vocals and instruments all have their own space nothings crowded. So yeah I’d rec the AR 3’s for metal 
The only down side of this set for me and the other two Youtube reviewers apparently is female vocals…they can come off as a bit weird, distant or off which is a shame as I listen to a lot of female vocalists ie Kate Bush sounds like nothing I’ve ever heard her sound like before, this can be improved if I use the thin foams provided but still I couldn’t rec this set for anyone who has a predominantly female vocal library.

One thing I don’t agree with is Paul’s take on the sub bass on Angel for instance, the sub bass rubbles fine for me I guess it’s a fit thing and it doesn’t sound like his graph would suggest

Its probably more of how it is when compared to iems. Buds definitely will feel like it has a lack of sub-bass rumble compared to iems.

Titanium vs. PET + LCP diaphragm…huh? Curiouser and curiouser
What other drivers are you looking at, for further down the Gen 3 line?
LCP for the dome and PET for surround.
I believe the next model after Saber 3 is gonna be a grand model, which will likely be using one of the few custom drivers I got. Dont know anything more than that yet.

My interpretation would totally depend on the driver quality. Poor drivers would be overly dark, lack resolution, and be an overly bassy mess.
Quality drivers could give things just enough clarity to have a heavy bass emphasis, but enough upper-mids to not get overwhelmed except on the most bassy of tracks
