shipping + vat on that swan really hurt, like 100 usd more than you would pay in the US -.-
Hopefully wont be hit by any other fees from that A5, certainly a LOT cheaper than the price I saw on aliexpress for it.
As for the sub, I will have to think about it after hearing the swan. If it really extends low enough on its own then I would have to go for a sub that can go deeper or it may be a bit pointless maybe…
Cambridge Audio Minx X201 and AudioEngine S6 would look like the candidates if I need something better but at the same small size.
Will buy the one I linked then. They should all come around the same time, luckily it seems that aliexpress shipping has gotten quite a bit faster recently, maybe they are worried about their rival Temu.
Facts. I run them on my main HT/Floorstanders and I have also used them in the past for passive portable setups. I’ll keep buying them (as needed) until they stop making them, especially since my old favorite speaker cable makers on Etsy closed up shop a couple years back.
Also you can do what I did for my DIY speaker cables. I took stock four core speaker cable, spliced it up, you can twice the ends however you want and cover them in heat shrink tube. Then you can place a sheath of whatever color you want and use the plugs you want.
I don’t think I have pictures…
What I like about having the wire itself color coded (white/green, black/red) is that you can use the cable to tell which one is + and which one is -. You can then use the same color plugs for the right speaker and another color for the left speaker. That makes it so much easier to know which wire is which if your setup makes it difficult to read the back of the amp or if the wires are hidden.
