Here we go!

shipping + vat on that swan really hurt, like 100 usd more than you would pay in the US -.-
Hopefully wont be hit by any other fees from that A5, certainly a LOT cheaper than the price I saw on aliexpress for it.

As for the sub, I will have to think about it after hearing the swan. If it really extends low enough on its own then I would have to go for a sub that can go deeper or it may be a bit pointless maybe…
Cambridge Audio Minx X201 and AudioEngine S6 would look like the candidates if I need something better but at the same small size.

Looking forward to your thoughts/experience!

Definitely! Both ETAs are around 3 weeks away though so the waiting game begins.

As for the cable, I believe i need a “banana” connector on both the amp and the speaker side?
So this?

(Not sure if there is a cable included.)

Those should work perfectly. I’m also a fan of this style that Micca offers (and other brandings of the same OEM): Amazon.com: Micca 14 Gauge Pure Copper Speaker Wire, 6 Feet (2 Meters 6.6ft Actual), 2 Pack Pair, Gold Plated Banana Plugs, Soldered Construction, Slim Design, 245 Strands, for Stereo or Home Theater : Electronics
Didn’t see a gauge listed anywhere in that AliEx listing but they also look to be 14 gauge or close enough, which will be fine for your amp/speaker combo.

Will buy the one I linked then. They should all come around the same time, luckily it seems that aliexpress shipping has gotten quite a bit faster recently, maybe they are worried about their rival Temu.

+1 on the Micca really good quality cable

Facts. I run them on my main HT/Floorstanders and I have also used them in the past for passive portable setups. I’ll keep buying them (as needed) until they stop making them, especially since my old favorite speaker cable makers on Etsy closed up shop a couple years back.

i’m surprised you aren’t making your own speaker cables.

DIYing cables are the most annoying thing to do, dont know much about banana cables either so I rather not screw it up and shock myself or something…

banana is just speaker wire clamped or screwed into a connector

  • rec to the micca cables they are pretty nice if the lengths are close to what you need

Recorded a sound demo of the M10 Plus using my Sony Xperia 5V.

(Pretty impressive mic from a smartphone I think.)

Also you can do what I did for my DIY speaker cables. I took stock four core speaker cable, spliced it up, you can twice the ends however you want and cover them in heat shrink tube. Then you can place a sheath of whatever color you want and use the plugs you want.
I don’t think I have pictures…

Edit:
4 core cable.

Yeah took a look and diy speaker cable is quite a lot easier and less time consuming to do. Will consider it if I dont like what I bought.

Did you use that knife for everything? and not one of those cable cutter (or whatever they are called)?

I did use a knife. I like the challenge and don’t like buying tool with only one purpose. Or I’m just cheap

What I like about having the wire itself color coded (white/green, black/red) is that you can use the cable to tell which one is + and which one is -. You can then use the same color plugs for the right speaker and another color for the left speaker. That makes it so much easier to know which wire is which if your setup makes it difficult to read the back of the amp or if the wires are hidden.

That is indeed a good method. The cable I bought seems to be symmetrical between L and R though. (but different with + and -.)

The speakers probably does look identical as well though.

Imagine paying 1,7k usd for a dap and for them to tell you to burn in to “improve” the sound even more.
