Trick is to check the shipping calculator they got here:
https://www.cssbuy.com/estimates
To see how much it would cost with shipping, sometimes it may still be cheaper to order from ali instead.

Trying out a novel (well I’ve not seen it done) cable management idea next week when I finally get home. Suspending an aluminium grate about 5-8cm below the underside of my desk - should work out aesthetic & cheap as a standalone with ties but I will probably try to 3D print cable runs and holders so I can use both top and bottom of the grate in a more secure manner.

Cool! Thought it was a pc case filter first.

Spot on chap. I did get the idea looking at a Mac Pro

Now that looks like a grater :joy:

You could slap some cables in there, zip tie it to the bottom of the desk :joy:

Seen that one along with some other smartphones with eink. Personally I would not use an eink screen with a smartphone, just too many flaws with the image quality, lack of color and refresh rate/ghosting to be used in every day usage. Eink to me is best used on devices you read a lot, dont look at much (like clocks or DAPS) or maybe programming (color is still useful here though).

Oh man, this is something I’d definitely try, even just as a streamer/dap. Love that form factor, eink screen, sd card, headphone jack :white_check_mark:

For reading yeah love that smartphone-shaped ereader shape for sure, my Hisense Touch must have hundreds of hours of read time now. (this one is too small for that though imo.)

Big challenge though is custom os, and not one like Graphene or Calyx that provides a google play services work around, so a lot of apps would simply be unusable on it.

hmm, that looks like something i would be very interested in daily driving as a phone.

but i’m a oddity that has daily driven a unihertz jelly2/star for years now

I have a jelly star I use as a dap/transport. Got it a year ago and like it a lot. Even has a physical pause/play button. Awesome for 200$ and love the little form factor on it. Great little nugget :potato:

it really is a great form factor. almost like a dap that comes with a phone free.

This is the current most hyped eink-phone afaik.

But pretty damn expensive.
