RikudouGoku's Database (IEMs/Earbuds/Headphones Ranking list)

I am starting to understand the term “mid-fi hell”, i have purchased 3 different IEMs in the search for the perfect one, i am guessing my search would be over if i just got the EST112 to begin with. Then again it is hard to know exactly what you want before you actually listen to a few different options i guess…

Maybe lol. The difference is in the quantity which the OH10 has a lot more, but otherwise they are somewhat similar.

This is why I mostly recommend that you get stuff in the budget range, like sub 50 usd. Try as many different signatures and as many driver type/combinations as possible to get an idea on what you want. Then go straight up to the 300 usd range, as that is the sweet spot in terms of value from my experience.

But if you already got a few in the 100-200 usd range, then perhaps it is wiser to go to the 500-800 usd range.

Oh my wife is going to LOVE that idea! LOL

Thanks for the musical notes and feedback (Yincrow 2000) I’ll Buy them… I trusted your take on LZ A7 and they are “Superb”, thanks !

Tell her this will be your last one. :joy:

Thanks for the trust, but as always. Wait for my review, I will definitely review this one. This amount of cash isnt cheap for buds, as it is considered the high-tier/totl area lol.

Yeah, definitely. I was just kidding about OH-10.
After owning FH3 and XBA-N3 (on the way), I’m considering to move to ~300eur range, Mangird Tea or Blessing 2 kinda range.

Forget the b2 and replace it with the tanchjim oxygen.

Or…FDX1

Awesome, thanks for the suggestion. Added to shortlist  I suppose there isn’t any "budget-Oxygen " to get feel of sound signature?

But looking at the graph, it seems that Oxygen has less bass than FH3? I love bass on FH3 (quantitiy) and anything less would be downgrade for me

There is one. The aiderlot m5, performs on the same level in mids and treble. Except the bass, but that is fine for the music it is meant for.

If you don’t want anything less bass than the fh3, then you won’t like the b2, oxygen, fdx1, m5 or any of these other bright neutral iems.

I was a bit disappointed with the ISN H40 and people say it is better than the Mangird Tea, i wonder if that is true…

Yeah, anything less is a no-go. I kinda got addicted to this bass and want even more lol

I didn’t consider the fdx1 due to it basically not being available outside the US (due to scam fees). And also because I don’t have it.

I saw very divided opinions about H40 so haven’t even considered them

Yeah i have a love / hate relationship with my H40s, they don’t deliver the bass i like, nor other technicalities but i kind of love the sounds for some reason, tuning / timbre maybe? Not sure… All i know is i keep coming back for more…

rats I was hopeful that the pure silver 8 core was better, only 0.35. I guess I’ll stick with Tri thorough.

Going by this description the FH3 sounds more like my thing. I think my next step would be the fd5 or fh5s in a couple of months.

+1 It sounds like the FH3 and OH10 are on similar playing grounds. The improved BA timbre has me interested to pick them up just to have a listen (since that was just about the only issue I had with the FH3) but I’m really not interested in a V shaped set currently.

@Rikudou_Goku How is the comfort and weight of the OH10? I’ve heard a lot of complaints about not being able to wear them long and being uncomfortable because of how heavy they are. This was the ultimate reason I decided to pass on them way back when. This is probably the IEM I’ve struggled with buying or passing on more than any other IEM. lol

@Rikudou_Goku As always, thank you for your insight.
