But maybe it wont be long before Fiio makes an iem with the same setup as the Sony Z1R though.
Since it looks like the FH5S actually has 2 separate DD´s. Most 2 DD iems I have seen are using a coaxial config rather than separating them like this.

First of all…
the last picture isnt a picture but a text? …weird
Second of all…
Since when clear mids means recesed?
lol, weird name for sure.
If it’s a complement to the FH3 that would be even better!
There do seem to be a lot of people wanting/looking for the FH3 upgrade. Pretty sure I would want something like that as well.
I would basically want:
Bass = FH3
Mids = FH3/FD5 (quantity in between the very forward FH3 and the more neutral (or recessed for some) and better timbre FD5 )
Treble = FD5 quality (timbre and airiness) and FH3 quantity
Technicalities = FD5
(although if my wish comes true, then that might be bad for the FD5 lol.)
Maybe the FH5s is the one to go to after the LZ A6!
Do we know when it will be released?
FD5s?
Probably not since they “just” released the FD5.
If anything, the FH7 might be the one to get an upgrade since it has a few (2?) years on it. Or perhaps their BA line (FA series) since stuff like the Audio Lokahi, Dunu SA6 and the Softears RSV might have made BA iems a bit more popular.
Nice 4 days from now, looking forward to this one.
I want to find an IEM to replace my current 3, hahaha. I would like to have only one, honestly i stopped looking for a specific thing after i heard the A6, it just has to sound good for my library.
Ideally it would have the FH3 comfort and bass, and the mids, highs and soundstage from the A6
Looks to be using the same shell shape (not sure if its the same size, but probably) as the FH3 and since it is vented like that, probably even more comfortable.
Bass, maybe they tuned it like the FH3. But I doubt you get the treble and the soundstage of the A6 lol (the mids on the A6 is its weakspot though, not hard to beat it at that, although it gets heavily influenced by the treble (in a good way)).
You mentioned the LZ A6 was your daily driver for around 1 year, may i ask which is yours now?
I dont have a primary transducer now lol. I became unfaithful and went harem style.
I mostly use my S ranked stuff and swap around.
Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.
My doc put me on a steroid and I woke up this morning fine. I think I misunderstood that my ear drum needed to pop back into the proper shape. What’s going on is I have an issue with my eustachian tube that is creating a suction and sucking the eardrum in. I don’t want to mess with IEMs until I get this under control.
Nah. I have these to play with…
Yeah I think those will do in the meantime.
2021-04-24: I found a major discovery, using micropore tape to cover this vent on the E1000:
E1000 (micropore mod) VS E3000:
Cleaner bass on the E1000 due to it being tighter and maybe a tiny bit faster as well. Mids and treble tonality are better as well due to the overall sound being cleaner and less warm/thick. Better imaging and instrument separation due to the cleaner bass on the E1000. Similar soundstage, details and timbre (both bottlenecked on the E3000 due to the mid-bass focus causing it to have bloated bass).
Overall, the E1000 with the micropore mod is actually better than the E3000. Not only does it sound better (for my library at least), it fits better (a bit longer and bigger body) but most importantly it is easier to drive. So if you wanted an E3000 but couldn’t because of lack of power (smartphone or PC for example) then the E1000 with the micropore mod is a great alternative that’s also cheaper.
Final Audio E1000: Rank up from C (in stock) to B+ (micropore mod)
I cant take credit for this mod though, as I saw it over here:

@Rikudou_Goku A quick question for you, as you have so many cables.
Has any of your cables ever become discolored, presumably oxidation, and could this be affecting the sound?
My Fiio LC 2.5d which I use with the FH3 has started to turn green on the clip in the corner of the ear hook. @Resolution I think you have the same cable as me.
Actually, they haven’t. Might be because I store everything properly or because I don’t use a particular cable enough for it to happen.
I listen to music outside very often, even now. So I suspect that the amount of sunlight could have something to do with it.
Fortunately, I haven’t noticed any change in the sound so far.
Well, I am not an expert in that area. But this guy on head-fi knows a lot about it:
