Z doesn’t know much about the science behind audio and those things he tries to explain are mostly wrong or just bs.
I think he got some samples and selected the ones he liked most.
I don’t dig the design tho. I know that Z loves this red and blue, but I think it’s a bit tacky
I like the idea behind it. The colours here may be a bit too flashy for my taste, though.
Are these tips not, normally, in your ears, and no one can see them there
They’re talking about the Z12s. I almost had the same thought but then I looked at who they replied to
Ups, I‘m so:
That blue might not be too bad, and I would never confuse it with the S12.
When listening to classic rock on PC, I tend to run my S12 with a 3-5db bass shelf around 166Hz, so the Z12 seems interesting. That said I am not sure if I need another planar right now.
I just tape the port on the S12 and it is good. The right tips and your set imo.
I really don’t know zip about electronic sound reproduction, frequency ranges or whatnot, and couldn’t read a chart or graph to save my life, but if any IEM maker out there wants to collab with me, I’m totally up for it!
(I’m aces at picking out colors, also.)
DD + BA + EST = 300 usd
(no mentions on specific driver brand/model, so maybe it isnt sonion EST)
From my understanding, it’s supposed to be a S12 but with better bass.
I know Zeos has a thing for blue = left ear, red = right ear, but based on this picture, how funny would it be if they got it backwards?
Based on the graph, the treble also seem a bit boosted on around 8k.
Unique Melody releases the Maven Pro with 10ba+ 2EST driver configuration.
Looks like a good dap to add into home Stereo chain. Also has Hibylink so you don’t have to get up everytime to change the song.
Schiit has a new version of the Freya pre amp which also comes with some “solid state tubes” called LISST to avoid a possible upcoming tube shortage.

“Your Choice of No Tubes
Freya+ also offers our LISST “solid state tube” option, which replaces your tubes with depletion-mode MOSFETs in tube-like cans.”
Bluetooth LE Audio and it’s SL3 codec have been finalized and are supposed to bring a big boost to audio fidelity.
