Rumors and new releases thread

Nice Love the point source technology

To be fair - those are in line or better than A55 and ZX300 in both categories. And I would say those are perfectly fine for all IEMs I tried (never tried any extremely low impedance ones) and also ZX works well on balanced with 500 ohm Serratus, so… :person_shrugging:

News from Xduoo.
SHENZHENAUDIO på Twitter: “A new portable balanced DAC/AMP will come from xDuoo, XP-2 Bal, which integrates USB, Bluetooth decoding and amplifier. The amp circuit adopts OP+BUF architecture, and the output power reaches 320mW, which can easily drive all kinds of headphones. https://t.co/BNMRN0YZT2” / Twitter

What the upgraded version?
This is why I hate Ali. So confusing

Upgraded version has the MUSE02 OP-amps instead of t he OPA2132.

Maybe, but you can turn off the tubes in this one if you want.

That’s nice. And the price is decent. We’ll have to see. Are you getting one for yourself?

not too interested in it. I am more tempted by the Fiio Q11.

If I take the usb-c plugs as reference, this seems a bit big for real portable use. Compared to the size of a jcally ap10 for example, that can output the same amount of power… I guess the xduoo won’t have the same performance level, but still.

I believe it the same chassis as the existing XP2 Pro just with a 4.4mm and other QoL things.

I believe these are just a new colorway for the KPH40i, there was a previous announcement about this on their website

That color looks pretty cool though

yes, it is just a different color option.

This reminds me of those monoprice on-ear ear-hook planars. M350 I think? Or iSines.

Hopefully at a lower price point, and they already look more comfortable.

Either way, I was reflecting recently on what I dislike about most FiiOs I’ve heard, and it’s timbre first and foremost. I’d be interested on how they do.
