on paper the XP2 bal is better, but also bigger so probably comes down to the form factor you want.
IMO, if you dont need BT, the Fiio Q11 looks to be the king atm, cheaper (100 usd) and a ton of power (650mw@32ohm).

Oh wow - definitely interested in seeing how this thing stacks up against the BTR7 … if I’m reading the specs correctly, it looks like it has the same power output. Interesting …
yes, exactly the same (on bal).
bigger…so no clipping it to my shirt collar?
Man the Audivina looks good, maybe this is finally the headphone Hifiman gets the tuning correct on for a closed back.
At least much harder due to bigger size and a lot heavier weight.

So, tomorrow is the big announcement from Campfire Audio. Any thoughts or rumors to know about?
Holy moly, THAT’S the real price?
they posted a video 3 days ago that said it was competing with the HD650
it’s the shell/headband of the R7DX but a new driver
It’s the other of their meh headbands instead of the older one which I kind of prefer. Some fresh Dekoni pads - cool, in housing that was a purge afterthought on that Drop model. Which probably didn’t go as well as intended, at $79-$149.
I’d love to hear all about the new driver. Whose driver?? Competing with HD650?? I’m sorry, I’m trying not to be an ass to them here.
The shell maybe, but that headband totally looks like the 400i 2020 / SE / Edition XS headband.
If the price wasn’t $500, I’d think about it
Curious if the tuning is any different on either. Looking forward to learning more. Nothing on Campfire’s website yet.
Honestly, The Andromeda Emerald Sea has a kinda feminine vibe. The Solaris Stellar Horizon looks like something Galileo designed or would want to own if he was into this hobby, they are a bit more interesting looking to me but I guess sound is what matters most.
I wouldn’t be surprised, given the Multiverse mode they have entered, if they were intending for the Solaris to look like a Galileo sketch, sculpted. I think it’s stunning. The Andromeda looks like a natural progression from the very blocky original design to something more refined. Not a substantial departure from their design sensibility. But, yes, sound is what matters.
Lol Not sure, just that it might suit a woman more than it would me, maybe it’s just the name, emeralds being associated with jewellery? or the slimmer profile + cuts compared to OG Andromeda?
