yes, it does afaik. But you dont NEED it to be big just for the DD.
You would think tho the
More restrictive the less output less bass and maybe that’s part of the tuning?
from what I have seen, most iems with a narrower bore (like the Shure iems) get less treble, doesnt really seem to directly affect bass, but of course less treble is an indirect bass increase.

SA10 confirmed. That picture is off the SA16 Prototype.
Wonder what the prices for them are. Im guessing the SA10 would be 1000 usd and SA16 1600 usd.
I wonder if the new SA6 is just a longer running SA6 Ultra?
Probably a safe bet, maybe a LITTLE change in FR somewhere.
I wonder if something like this is afoot (not in any “suspicious” way just wondering if I understand the industry)
-
Collaborate on a limited tuning
-
Discover it’s a great tuning from feedback, and also sell all units without too much issue because limited run
-
Slightly adjust the tried and tested tuning so that it’s not identical, but basically is, and keeps the special sauce in
-
Sell the new set like hotcakes but this time no obligation to pay out collab money, because it’s a “new” tuning, with no collab shell colors/artwork.
Well, most collabs from the last half year seem to be limited releases probably equal parts for profit sharing as well as trying something different. I know that people BEGGED for more Ultras but Dunu and Z both said that it was out of their hands for unspoken reasons (I’m guessing limited parts runs combined with potential legal headaches if things go south between both parties), so that may be a side of it, too.
Might be a similar FR but driver setup is different so I doubt it will a 1:1

“Compared with the SA6 in my impression, the sound texture is more delicate and exquisite, with a stronger sense of energy in the middle and low frequencies, and smoother high frequencies. The quality has been slightly improved,”
No info afaik on drivers being different or not though.
Depending on the differences, hopefully cheaper than SA6U too. Didn’t know anything about the driver setup, so far all I knew was the name was SA6 Mk 2 and figured they’d already done a killer SA6 Mk 2.
Oh my bad. I misread, you were talking about th new SA6, not the SA16
It could become a tend. But for now I don’t remember a limited run Collab that has become a regular model afterwards.
Mele, kinda lava have been discontinued
Truthears zero is still running, like Kai, khan, and others that don’t come to my mind.
I don’t know about the fiio eclipse
Olina has a successor, but the successor is still under the Collab flag.
On the other hand, we know some Collab that are cheaper rip-off of regular products
This one is an odd one cause Im pretty sure you can just buy an EJ07M and ask for the KL tuning on it
New Hifiman Closed-back Headphone, the Audivina. New drivers, but def. has that HE1K-like appearance.
The N7 looks interesting too. Though probably way too expensive
God I hope some day hifiman makes a good closed back. Fingers crossed for the Audivina.
So…Link2 bal or XP2 bal…?
Come on XP2 looks bad ass!
