The ideal OS for a DAP is IMO a linux based one that can still install android apps if needed. Best of both worlds.

I saw FiiO’s post on FaceBook. I support their decision! It’s just exciting to see where the company goes. Seeing them become the industry giant that they are today, is really beautiful. My first IEM was Jade Audio EA3, and I wore those to the ground—it’s only after they fell apart that I retired them. Now, I’m typing this on their KB3, which is a keyboard that was a gamechanger for me.
Hopefully they keep up the quality while they are expanding.

Yup. I saw that too. I also am pretty interested in the Canyin dongle that has the MagSafe magnets on the back. I think it was called the RU6 or 9, I can’t remember.

I’m suspecting the one on the left is the much anticipated YH-5000 (or it could be a different tuning, but I doubt it), and the one on the right is a closed-back using the YH-5000SE platform.

This is a dope looking device but waaaaay overpriced.
Also the black middle part looks like they first planned to make a big screen with more functionalities like streaming and so on but then decided “naah fuck it, lets just do a tiny info screen” 
No PEQ at that price is also very disappointing.
Only some measly filters and the ifi standards XBass/Space

Not a super-fan of the new wood-shell Snowskies, but I guess maybe some people want that in a source device? Really I also never understood all the leather sleeves for these devices that we know are going to heat up - they ruin the heat dissipation AND they look janky af, like they’re meant to hang off some rancher’s belt. 
What could be going through these designers’ heads, are they trying to revive the uncanny and uniquely stylish look of the Oppo HA-2? Cos if that’s so, they haven’t understood one iota of what made that thing look good.
