Rumors and new releases thread

You mean fake Isobarik the two drivers are actually working against each other rather than in a push pull or push push configuration.

Yes, hence the " "

Do you mean they are some degrees out of phase with each other? If they’re not push pull and not push push (same a pull pull) they must be out of phase some amount with intention.

One could be reinforcing the deficits of the other and vice versa. I’m curious why you use the term ‘fake’ isobaric. Either they are or are not.

The big thing last year was using two drivers face to face with each other in phase with each other sealed together with a vent tube as the output.

This puts strain on both drivers causing distortion and wave cancelation.

Alot of these manufacturers were calling this configuration Isobarik but it is not.

In a push pull senerario the drivers would be wired out of phase from each other so while one is going in the other is going out and they are working together effectively working as one driver to lower distortion and increase control, extention and power handling. The back of one or both drivers could be used for out put but the chamber between both drivers needs to be perfectly sealed.

In a Push Push set up same principles apply the chamber between both drivers is completely sealed and either the back of one or the front of the other could be used to output the bass.

The chambers and volume of either of these set ups need to be calculated as to not let the drivers over extend otherwise you negate the positive attributes to using a Isobarik set up.

64 Audio got it right and used it to great effect in the Völur for others it BS marketing.

Diabolical indeed and shame on you for charging $2899 for that.

All that work and unfortunately the Volur was somewhat underwhelming for me. Didn’t feel the DD bass implementation was anything special even compared to some stuff like the MMK3’s “Isobaric” implementation.

We need more lawsuits in this industry. Lawyers would have a blast taking care of all the snake oil. Maybe that would finally make a change in our industry?

Apple started the idea that “Pro” as a suffix just means something’s successor right? Feels so dumb every time I see it. Oh this is the “professional” model? :man_facepalming:

EDIT: Just clicked through, oh gosh why are they going the route of rainbow vomit?

This just seems…uselessly overpriced? There are stuff thats like 100x cheaper on ali…they dont have LDAC but when you are outdoor (in a car/plane like they mention) all that external noise will make it pointless…
