It was head-fi. I got at least one user saying “why are you using a music player as a receiver anyway” and stanning for them right off the bat, when the way I see it if it’s a feature the player supports it should function right, even if it’s not the primary function.
Can’t tell you how much it p*ssed me off for someone to reply criticizing my chosen use of the product when they had no solution to a functionality flaw:
They also exaggerated because I didn’t say I never used local playback.
All Joe Bloggs chimed in to say was that airplay was better than BT. Thanks mate. Let’s not address that BT doesn’t work like it should for about half the users (iOS). I even got “most audiophiles use Android anyway” BS. Not a damn thing from Hiby, just their damn acolytes.
Shame to dig this up, SHanling M0 Pro worked fantastically all the time for my needs.
300 seems a bit steep considering you can get OG with the BT adapter for $150ish once in a while but built in BT is convenient, interested to see impressions.
also their marketing is straight up lying about the OG basic saying it didn’t support op-amp swapping wtf lol.
