Rumors and new releases thread

True I guess they have released multiple t2’s now around the same price bracket. In that case I wonder if they will rework the t3 with a t3 plus

I would try a T3 plus/pro/whatever if they made one. Especially if they use the same wonderful cable.

how me a two pin connector please. MMCX is just so flimsy feeling, I die a little inside every time I swap cables on my tin t2’s

Jason Stoddard on Schiit’s Head-Fi thread:

Another update: gonna be a crazy year. Tyr (AKA biggus ampius) released to production, as well as Loki Max and Folkvangr (10 tube headphone amp), and another one on the inexpensive end of things, and Urd beta now in production, and a couple other things. Plus next week. And a couple weeks after that.

Buckle. The. ****. Up.

(Standard disclaimers apply: things may be delayed due to my incompetence/supply chain/aliens/more COVIDs/meteors or other end-of-the-world scenarios, whatever.)

Been holding off on buying a Loki mini, might have to hold longer and see how the Loki max turns on out. Wonder how many bands it will be? Are they going balanced perhaps?

I would bet on balanced.
4 bands is fine for me. With my mini I usually just want to jack up the bass, add in some mids and cut back some treble.

Yep, time to keep an eye on that…

Having both se and balanced would be cool to be able to incorporate with multiple amps.

I will assume all credit for the Lokius. Don’t you dare call it “max” guys!
It will be XLR/RCA and I haven’t decided on the bands yet. Seven max.

I will be running four amps out of my switcher when it finally arrives. I am currently running XLR out to two amps with an XLR switcher.

I don’t think I need to duplicate the system with XLR lines. Unless the new Loki is miles above the old one.

I would like to be able to kind of use the lokius max plus yuge as a switch between my LS and LP, if it were to allow for such. I have a sys and could go with the mini and use SE on the LP. I just figure use balanced since I have the capability.

I love the Sys. We should also wish the Sysius into existence.

QDC has announced it’s latest Flagship IEMs and an upgrade to Anole VX. It’s the Anole V14 with 10ba + 4EST and four tuning switches. It’s priced at around $3k.

Another note from Jason on headfi about the upcoming products mentioned above…

“…everything I mentioned will be 4 figures…but they will all start with “1”.”

Guess the loki max will be in the 1k range, looking forward to what that beast will look like. But now that I think about it 1k makes sense as they’ve been talking about giving it stepped attenuators which may mean it could come with a remote as well (which would be nice for sitting back and EQing with minimal effort lol). But I could be totally wrong, we’ll just have to wait and see. Also really looking forward to their Folkvangr, tube matching for 10 tubes would be a schiitshow though lol.

1k, well I’m out for now. That’s a huge price jump from the mini! However, I’m sure it will be a great product.

Damn… I made the Lokius and will not be able to buy a Lokius. LOL

I’m curious to hear the reviews of the Urdu when it launches.

New Moondrop Aria IEM:

Dunu released it’s tribrid IEMs, the EST112. As the name suggests, it has 1ba,1dd and 2EST drivers.

I’m interested so long as they can match the old Aria’s price point. Good $50-100 IEMs are greatly needed, IMO. Under $50 often have fit issues, problematic signatures, and need to be tweaked with cables and shit.

If this is like the Starfield below the price bracket maybe with a punch more bass to fit to the consumer-line side of things, it can be a winner.
