It looks like Vinshine is cheaper for Denafrips products. Vinshine are also very helpful.
It’s true is cheaper, but when I was looking at it there were moments with out-of-stock status, and also without shipping to my country. Having one more supplier, and one that can get to my country with free shipping and no import fee/taxes is always interesting. More options.
Sorry but… what’s MAP?
yeah wondering that as well as that word has some awful connotations in internet culture these days
Minimum Advertised Price most likely
IMO there should really be a thread dedicated for IEM’s to combat the flooding IEM related posts.
Would have made it much less jarring to get through the thread. @M0N

But Shenzhen does have lots of sales.
I bought my SMSL SU-8 and SMSL SP200 direct from them. Good price, free shipping and under-reported pricing meant no sales tax.
Thank you!
theres a literal dumpster flood of these iems all the time and I ain’t crapping on people that enjoy them but at some point the 40-thousandth tin drop of the year it starts bleeding together something fierce. Lol
I would prefer 1 location instead of segregating the rumors thread. Some LOBs in audio are more busy than others. Can’t be helped. I’d rather not have to check multiple locations on the site, and the interactions of those who inherently gravitate to one subset of audio interacting with those of different interests should support the growth of discussion and ideas.
Separating over-ear and in-ear traffic I think would be a decent idea. But then again I don’t this topic gets that many replies in the first place except when people do have a conversation like now.
i have nothing against IEM’s but sharing the same thread just creates a divide within the thread.
people who are into headphones usually keep to that, same with people that are into IEM’s, so it ends up creating an interest divide within the thread, the interest is far from equal for those who tend to have more interest in the one thing which more often than not is the case.
remember it’s not about elitism, you want to check out news that you care about instead of all the inbetween. Only need one more thread to make this less jarring to go through, but i suppose i can see the appeal of having everything in one space for the sake of having it in one space but it doesn’t really serve another purpose other than that i dont feel like, maybe in the sense that we may share certain amps but thats about it as far as what IEM and headphone guys may share interest in
going by all that i don’t see a shared thread making much sense, especially considering the flooding of IEM related posts. I mean, there is always news about IEM’s, much less so for headphones, so if you are only interested in headphones the thread becomes jarring to sift through
And source gear, speakers, etc… you’d like separated also?
Or simply IEMs should be kicked out of this thread?
i dont see a whole lot of speaker news here.
its not about kicking out anything, i hope you understand
I wish speakers were more popular on here, but it’s ok. I love jamming out in my living room. Just straight blasting my music and being surrounded by it.
the reason for that likely has to do with this being site is a Zeos project and his focus has primarily been headphones/ now that he’s moved and has lots of space, you’re likely to see more speaker related information…it will just take some time to build some steam
i think i did a doofey, threads are member curated on this site arent they? so mods dont really have any say in it unless its something that is completely off. i get confused sometimes because i go between this forum and the headphones.com forum
Yeah, members can create threads.
So, I get that iems are moving at a faster pace than speakers and headphones for the amount of new releases, but I don’t know if it would make sense to split this thread because of it. It really would end up becoming confusing with where to post new information. I’d assume this thread isn’t really made to be a place to have discussions per se, but moreso just see what’s come out in all areas recently, and if someone really wants to talk I’d assume they would just make a thread in the appropriate category. If people want to discuss, they just make a new thread in the appropriate category, about the new product so I don’t really see the need to filter things manually.
Also there’s nothing stopping you from making a post in let’s say the headphone category about new specific headphone only releases, now if people will actually use it or not I can’t control. We do already have the iem discussion thread which is a general thread for info like this but specific to iems with more discussion that was user created, so nothing saying you can’t do that for other categories if you find the need for ones existence
The only threads that mods handle are the ones that are in the Official categories, but otherwise the other threads are user created and maintained, the mods don’t really have anything to do with it unless we need to step in for something
