I saw that post too. I was looking into that too. I really want a tube amp to see what all the fuss is. Especially with my senns and my he350s. But I think an new ss should be my first purchase. Hmmmmm

Oh good to know. Still pushes higher headphones well though? I think the most troublesome ones I have are my akg7xx, SENN 650s and my 4xx. So I’m sure it’ll do fine. I guess I’ll still have the jot if I really need the power. Even if it won’t sound as nice.
For high impedances, it works fine… it’s pretty much neck and neck with any of the THX amps… it’s only with low impedance, low sensitive planars it might have some trouble.
Yeah that should be just fine imo. I think the 4xx might be better on the jot tho

I mean the power output of the rnhp isn’t high, it’s actually pretty dang low, but it somehow gets it done

Should be between 0.3 and 0.8W depending on impedance.

This is the advantage to Vinyl… buying a new record sets off the dopamine the same way new audio gear goes for me… lol. It helps so much. haha
Lol. I want that too! But that going to be a good 500 or more minimum to get started too. But I have to wait until I get a new ss amp on my desk so I can repurpose my jot to a location that I can fit a turn table. I’ve got a ways to go

Do you know much about the sprout? While on the subject of vinyl. Maybe that’d be a good option. 
Not really, I have not heard it personally, but others have said it’s a solid option. I have not heard anyone say anything negative. Good headphone amp and phono preamp too.
Sometimes I hate all the choices. You can never make the right one lol.
Or you can look at it as lots of ‘right’ choices… I know I get the same way, though. Lots of anxiety trying to find the “RIGHT” thing… it becomes neurotic. lol

All I know is, I have an aeolus and the tuba paired with it is just a badass combo. Definitely consider.

I will for sure. Does the tuba warm the sound much with the stock tubes?
