Rupert Neve RNHP Precision Headphone Amplifier

My 650s and jubilees both sound amazing on the rnhp. More natural sounding than on my jotunheim at least. I’m don’t think I’m experienced enough to know the difference between dacs yet, or at least I haven’t been able to test different dacs on the same amp yet lol. But I do like the enog with this. Although if I was willing to pay the extra 70 bucks, the su8 would’ve been a my choice as I think they could be stacked better.

RNHP and SU8 stack way better than I thought they would. Really nice. They also sound good enough together that you can hear when the studio engineers made mistakes.

Interesting. Could you name a couple tracks and associated time stamps where you think studio engineers made a mistake? I’m curious to see if I can notice, but am in no way a studio engineer.

I heard them while I was on my adventure last night, so I didn’t write them down or anything, but I’ll let you know when I find something again

Listen to “Yoav Beautiful Lie” there is one part where you can hear he accidentally touches some of the quitar snares. Not a sound engineer fault. Just never heard that with lower end cans. Listening to it now to get the time stamp…listening…still listening…wow ok now I don’t notice it. Did on my previous dac lol

2:33 its very faint and also around 2:48 really have to pay attention. But like I said clearly my previous dac had better resolution.

Which headphones received the honor to be paired with the RNHP?

The Piano Guys - A Thousand Years about 10sec in you can hear the guys foot touch the pedal. Pretty cool

Thanks, that’s very helpful. I also have a Jotunheim, but I think it’s a little too analytical for my tastes. The am strongly considering the Archel 2.5 Pro/Enog Pro combo and/the RNHP.

Last night was 177x. They proved they’re definitely good enough for audio work and I enjoyed every minute

Yeah basically think of all the detail you get on the jotunheim but not as sharp sounding. That was basically what I gathered.

That is exactly what I am looking for. I am reluctant to start down the tube path because I want to retain all of the detail I can get with ss.

I would say the rnhp sounds pretty up your alley then imo. If you want to retain as much detail as possible, a tube amp in this price bracket wouldn’t be the best choice imo. The rnhp gives a natural sound while retaining the detail, so I feel like it would be something you might be interested in

Where do you find the little legos like that? Lol

I can find the bigger circle with the smaller circle on the inside but not just the small circle like you have.

Mine were donated…but I heard they can be bought as a 50 pack on Amazon

I’ll look. Thanks man.

Sounds like someone doesn’t have kids. There are random lego set at stores that are around $5. You just have to make sure of those sets would have what you need.

If you really wanted to get fancy and choose exactly what you want, you could do this:

Flat Tile 1x1, Round
