Hi there,
like that compared to the Shiit Vali 2? If you can.
I am currently using a Beresford Capella that can also show and am quite impressed with it, because it also plays fairly neutral, is open and transparent, is also quite musical, and has good results technically in terms of power offered.
I have read your reports and I still find it difficult to say yes or at least try it.
Currently it would go well with the Denon ah d7200 and Tr x00. But I would have a planar headphone. What is the question again Lcd 2c, Sendy aiva, M1060 maybe Hifiman how well do they run on it?

Here fact about the Beresford Capella for the stats only,no advertising.

I have not heard the capella so I cannot comment on that, but I do think it would work well with the denon, fostex, sendy, m1060. The LCD 2 classic would work just fine, but I think you might want a bit more power for greater impact with them. The hifiman it depends on which hifiman

Just got my rnhp amp. was surprised that i had to turn the volume all the way to max for my Arya. is there a gain switch on this? i dont see one

Do you have your volume on your su8 maxed? And digital volume maxed as well? It had enough to drive my Arya without cranking it

You beat me to it, I was about to share this too.

…just to make some people here foam at the mouth. :stuck_out_tongue:

Really? I don’t have to go that far with the same cans. Maybe 2 or 3 o’clock.

There is no gain. What inputs are you using, and what DAC are you using?

I’m using the SU8 DAC through the balanced connections

Never mind. Didn’t read the follow up. Darn digital volume!

I was actually surprised at the actual volume produced vs the power specs. The Arya is a hard to drive headphone!

yeah ive heard that in the reviews. it does require a lot of power. but ive been listening to it with the rnhp and the liquid spark and theres still too much treble here. ive fully burned it in by now too. of it doesnt get better im gonna have to sell it

You’re not going to get a reduction in treble from any half decent amplifier, they’ll all have basically flat frequency response from 20-20K, what you will get is a change in the presentation.
To me it’s all about how fatiguing the treble is, I find the THX amps to be particularly bad in this regard.
Some people describe the treble as grainy in lower end amps.

Just return it and get the Utopia. If you don’t like it, then it’s just not for you.

i’m leaning more towards the Verite

That’s a wait for…something you may not like.

I suggest getting the Utopia and try it and if you think you like it but can take a little more warmth and stage then go Verite.

wait, the utopia has less soundstage than the verite?! I hate soundstage. like one of my favorite headphones is the aiva

@Antpage2 where you life there are most likely going to be some stores near you to try out the Utopia, I would look around and see if you can demo them
