I would say so, although the modius is a compelling option if you wanted balanced at the 200 buck price point, it’s pretty great. I have been liking it so far, smoother more relaxed sound, more colored than the bifrost 2 but it can be pretty pleasing for some amps (but on others I might lean towards like an enog 2 pro). I don’t think it’s that close to the bifrost 2, but I do think it’s a pretty great deal for the price for what it can offer

Well Fedex tried to deliver to the wrong address and now I have to wait till tomorrow. I am just having them hold it at a nearby Walgreens so this doesn’t happen again.

Dear dude-bro’s & sisters,
I assume if you are here it’s because you enjoy and/or are interested in audio and with this thread …Schiit audio in particular. I may be super late to the game but I jumped into head-fi forum couple weeks ago and now bounce back and forth…in head-fi I have discovered a true Jem. Jason Stoddard (owner engineer at Schiit) has written up a fucking epic history of his company ( literally a god damn book) . Tons of interesting tales about how / why Schiit audio came to be…I’m on chapter 6 now and can’t stop. Again maybe I’m a fool and everyone knows about this already but if you haven’t already and are interested in Engineering , business building, who the fuck comes up with Schiit, who that woman on the hood of the car was on their home page…you oughta check this thread and join head-fi.

I did finally get my Bifrost. But as a word of warning, if you use FedEx’s hold option, it takes an additional 48 hrs for them to complete that request.

Alright, got her hooked up and made myself a Bifrost/Sprout100 stack. Diffidently a difference in instrument separation. This weekend I will stack it with my 789 (balanced) and do some serious HP listening.

Nice! I know you have other equipment but it looks like you paired your ~$1400 dac/amps with $150 speakers hehehe…i do love the rb42 nearfield though! Also what speaker stands are those? Kanto?

Yeah, I was wondering who would say something about my $150 speakers… LOL!! I have been stepping up my source gear and these RB’s sound better than they ever have before now. Next upgrade on the task list is the speakers. I have something in the works for that, just taking longer than I thought it would to get them.
The stands are Kanto’s 9 inch.

Haha, well i do think the rb42 work so good on a desk, I will probably keep mine for awhile and eventually will have a $700 dac with it at some point lol But i use headphones at my desk way more than speakers so that’s my upgrade focus hahah

Any bf2 owners take the top off their unit? Im wondering if whatever is attached can easily be taken off and the lid powdered. Looking for a black unit but wondering if i find an inexpensive silver if this could be an easy change
