So it arrived today, was quite a wait but sure it will be worth it. Now just to get home to test it with the Aivas.

Life is unfair, the day I received my new aiva pads I was sick and could not test it properly, today I received the LS and ehats the odds sick again. But will give my feedback on the sound once I get home

So the LS compared to the DAC X6, to be honest is not a massive difference. I really really have to pay attention to hear a difference. The LS does sound cleaner and more refined but honestly not a lot. Can the poor dac in the DAC x6 be the reason im not hearing a massive improvement?

That would also help if you got a bit better dac. Typically with the amps it’s not a massive immediate difference, but with continued listening you start to notice more benefits

Thanx MON, i just thought a $45 dac/amp conpared to a $100 dedicated amp will be quite a difference. But sure the d10 will make the difference

It typically is, but it’s just something you have to recognize and listen for, it’s not immediate (at least it isn’t for most people). I had to gain a decent amount of experience before I could tell dacs and amps apart on first listen

No wait, the DAC X6 now sounds noisy in comparison. Weird to explain. Like there is now something between the sounds where the LS has none. Never heard that on the FX but now A/B ing the amps i hear it. Also the LS can go loud without sounding shitty, when I max the FX everything just moulds together. If that makes sence.

Yeah, you will start to notice the more subtleties that the ls can bring with more listening :+1:

And after the 100 hours break in :joy::joy::joy:

the bass is fast of course the aiva has very fast bass being both a planar and just detailed cannons but its a bit faster for sure the major change comes in the mids we’re talking it gets lush getting up there with the best Sennheiser 650 kind of mids. Forward. now the treble with the mods is what im trying not to screw up they’re important to this headphone I love the air that these headphones and the fazor definitely helps get even airier I can safely say that doing the mod doens’t ruin these headphones and improves what you love about them. Its an overall refinement to an already heavy hitting above its price range headphone

Can you post pics with the fazor mod installed?

Hi guys just a quick question. Where do you gain the biggest difference, upgrading your amp or your dac? Thanx
