Is this an office, cubicle setup? That’s a very nice little corner.

Yes, and thanks! My work laptop parks just to the right of that, then monitors in the other corner. My office rig has grown ever more elaborate since I’m generally able to do most of my listening here–hours per day while programming.

Lol, funny how the Stellias are basically marketed as a fashion statement (with cute girls on their website wearing Focal Stellias outside – yeah, right), and you just made it fit with a golden AK47 (or SKS?). :stuck_out_tongue: :+1:

Yeah, it’s an AK (warning: possible budget damage behind link - GOAT Guns “Goldilocked”)

As an engineer, I appreciate the synergy of how everything there is first and foremost about raw, no-nonsense functionality, but not above a little over-the-top flair to look good while doing their thing. The gold AK just had to be there.

Plus it kinda stands guard over my “Stellia Stack.” If it discourages people from “looking with their hands,” all the more better.

That’s what I thought lol. A nice deterrent.

I shared these headphones already, but I took some snaps for another forum.

Koss Porta Pros with the Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt.

Fun, resolving, yet non-fatiguing portable setup.

Used with iPhone/iPad Pro.

I dont trust Apple as a company. When Commodore went under i bought apple computers and had a terrible time with them. same with iphone i had. I used to do tech support for thier products. Apple is the primadonna of the computer world. They are liars. Bullshitters. Treat their customers disrespectfully and are condescending. Steve Jobs was the personification of these things. A company like this is not one i want to buy from. Its just gonna put me in for some shit in the future.

Gotta be careful with these pics guys. a lot of people are browsing these forums at work and many places of employment have a zero tolerance policy with it comes to NSFW pics

I agree with this sentiment

Thank you!

Photography is a fun hobby. I go a little over board when I’m snapping gear pic’s, but I enjoy it. :+1:t4:

If the D90 is truly any cleaner than the DX7s was, I couldn’t put into words what’s different. Nevertheless, there’s something subtly more pleasing about it. Maybe it’s simply peace of mind knowing that SINAD is a good deal cleaner. Or some AKM flavor in the filters. It’s just smooth and perfect.

I’ve also got an RME ADI-2 DAC at home that I’ve used with my loudspeaker system and Stax. That’s also utterly transparent. The D90 measures somewhat cleaner, but I’m not convinced I could hear the difference. The RME is already a step up from DX7s.

All of these are exceptional DACs. In the case of the DX7s, pairing it with a THX amp did make a notable difference over using the built-in balanced output. The bass from the THX amp seemed tighter and more impactful.

Awesome, the D90 looks like a endgame dac to me

Current and possible portable endgame
It’s a bit hard to believe that the second picture is a combined MSRP of about $2800
There are IEMs that exist out there for about 2x that price by themselves
