This is my cable management endgame - only because I’ll never touch that s**t again. Though I’m happy that I could hide almost every cable + two devices from view.

Very clean, I like it. The vintage style keyboard looks sick!

This is a nice way to go, I’ve done this for a while in my office and it’s solid. There’s a lot of miniDSP discussions scattered through the source gear thread. Maybe we need an official miniDSP topic?

Thanks! I am going to open the miniDSP thread. I have so many questions. Last time I seriously used DSP and stuff was in 2014.

The keyboard is not vintage style but actual vintage, it’s an IBM Model M, manufactured March 9th 1990. It has been bolt/screw modded to counter the degrading and failing plastic rivets that hold the membrane + metal backplate together. If you care there is Linus Tech Tips video (“The Greatest Keyboard of All Time… Reborn”) giving you a brief overview what it is all about.

Killer! I know this keyboard very well. I grew up in the 80s around IBM mainframes (dad was an electronics technician). I need to pull the trigger on getting one for myself!

Decided to take a pic before I maybe sell one of these.
Might post again when I get some items currently on loan in-house.

All I ever have to do when I feel like I have a problem is look at some of your pics :joy:

Also, D8000 non-pro? Consider me suprised.

D8000 pro is on loan, so not pictured

Have you posted impressions of d8kp vs d8k? All the Japanese amp manufacturers seem to prefer the non-pro but i also hear is a significant technical step below the pro so ik currious about it

I just got a message from Google stating that 4yrs ago, this was my state of the art Head-fi set-up. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My, how things change…

Dig the retro iPod miss mine - I need to find a new player or something for the “real” office now that I’m onsite a couple days a week again.

I use that in the car now. The electronics in my car are so old they were designed to work with iPods.

That little A17 DAP turned into an NW-ZX300.

I still keep my iPod around for some songs missing from my computer library. Everytime I try to extract it doesn’t work.

I say this respectfully: you have a problem

Yes, but a good problem :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
