How is the RNHP amp?
I have it on my watch list, but have not seen any review yet, even though it is priced in the higher end.
Its fucking fantastic… and I don’t drop the F bomb often. It totally subverted my expectations. I’m at the point now I’m done with the THX amps and selling off the 2 I have.

I found your comments re the RNHP in the OlavDAC/AMP thread and am quite exited about what you write. I have the Monolith by Monoprice Dac/Amp and I am really happy about it, but haven’t found a worthy companion to place next to it. (And I also need a Dac as well, but I am considering the SMSL SU-8)
But super nice there is life after THX 
And the RNHP price is within my range, so the search for the best price is on.

Endgame steps, big boy steps.
Why go thru all pointless little steps when there is a possibility to open those final doors.
I dunno… I feel like the initial hit of ‘euphoria’ only comes once every time you hear something ground-breaking… if you rush to the top… then you end up stuck only going downhill from there and never hit that ‘peak high’ every again… I personally feel it’s much better to take smaller steps and appreciate the journey along the way.

True to that… but It should not be “the first time” if that is how the highs are gotten, then things are horribly wrong.
It should very near that but every time.
Like your most, most favorite drink or food. Even if it’s the best coffee, you can have every day.
It will never be same “first time” but every time you get it but It will give those same good goosebumps and chill’s and tons of enjoyment. You are happy.

I’m using the Topping D70. I don’t know if it’s the “right” one or the “best” DAC… but for the time being I’m very satisfied.

Ive thinking seriously about getting that amp and maybe the Topping D90 700$ or Marantz HD-DAC1 799$ or Parasound NewClassic 200 899$. My dream DAC is the ADI 2 DAC 1100$. but its so expensive. i see one used for 900$. The ADI 2 DAC is #2 on master switch best dacs.
