Damn those amps…
Sweet jesus my dude, that’s something to behold.
How do you like the Klipsch THX? I was looking at it the other day.
as the kids say, they slap! Big bass, subs are 100lbs each and keep in mind they are passive and don’t have any amps in them that weight is basically the massive magnet on the back of the speaker cone. The speakers themselves have a huge range and have very bright highs and lots of imagining because of the horn tweeters, but the mids also go very low 48hz a good amp is a must, I don’t think i’m getting the most out of them because of my receiver, center channel is annoying because it’s they same speaker as the stereo channels, my system has 4 Bipole speakers for the rear channels that i have not set up yet so I can’t comment on the surround aspect of them because I haven’t heard them in 7.2 in 14 years or so, over all they are basically a scaled down movie theater speaker for home use.
Nice. I’m probably going with a Klipsch system for my home theater upgrade when the time comes. That’s a ways out for me but I still like to browse.
I’m always looking as well, I’ve got the speakers but now I need a new AV receiver.
What’s the purpose of the flat panel TVs on either side of the main screen?
What’s the purpose of the flat panel TVs on either side of the main screen?
Mainly gaming, but could be anything. The unassuming box next to the gnome is an 8x8 HDMI matrix switch that allows me to route any source to any screen.
I added the flat panels before I got the big screen (but positioned to leave room for it) as His and Hers screens for gaming, because my wife likes to play, too, and split-screen is the devil. These days I only use the big screen most of the time, but if my wife and I both want to do something then we’ll fire up one or both of the flat panels. Some examples:
Netflix on the big screen, while I play something on one of the flat panels
Co-op gaming with wife on the big screen, me on a flat panel
Xbox One on one flat panel and XBox 360 on the other
Replicate a movie or game on all 3 screens, mainly for effect
The “big audio” is generally wired up to play audio from whatever HDMI feed is on the big screen, so sometimes I’ll use one of the flat panels with TV volume down low when people are sleeping. The matrix has a web control, so when people are up I can move my game or movie or whatever onto the big screen from a tablet.
This is a nice solution. Might need a similar gear someday.
Royal mess of cables!

Edit: And gold plated Utopias, oh well: https://www.focal.com/france/focal-se-met-aux-couleurs-du-jeu-video-assassin-s-creed-origins
Well they could be…? Atleast they look fabulous AF!!
50.000e/55.000$ price tag … they sure are in the EndGame region.
Then about the diamond covered utopias?
Or just put a loaded focal Utopia line car speaker system in there lol, but it still would be cheaper then most of the other options here lol
I think it would be fun to see where these ship to.
