I purchased through Amazon about 4 years back. Great monitors. Not 4k but I find I do not need for what that machine is used for. Very dependable units. I run them off a single Nvidia 1070 and they work beautifully at 1080p. I also spend a lot of time on this machine. Comfortable race car!!!

Ahh, they looked like the 4k ones I saw I Costco not too long ago. The picture looked pretty good, but that was uncalibrated in display mode.

Nice setup. :+1:t4:

Thanks. They keep me out of the barā€™s so to speak.

And here is the other half of the setup with my other ā€œendgameā€ pair. Focal Clear Pro

Well The focalā€™s are out of my league price wise anymore. I love the color of the Eikon!.. The Australians have a word for these " NOICE!"

They are great. Very detailed and digs deep in the sub bass, fairly wide soundstage and imaging is precise. The sound is balanced with a bit of warmth. I never knew a closed back could sound this good. This headphone is just really fun and enjoyable to listen to, but that seems to be the trend with ZMF cans.

You can actually pick up a pair of Focal Clears (standard ver.) for a pretty good price secondhand these days, Iā€™ve seen multiple pairs go for around $700-800 in the past week on AVexchange. Also there is a non factory sealed clear pro going for a little under a $1000 over at american musical supply right now.

Many Thanks for the info. I as you might see have a lot tied up in both of these. The Adam T5vā€™s were my most recent purchase. With the uncertainty in the country right now I will probably wait. I am one of the essential and am out in the world everyday. People need heat for some reason. I am and have been more of a speaker guy but I am learning more about phones so to speak. 58x, He4xx, Hd558 as well as some dare I say Bose? (although they sit in a drawer)

yes I understand, Iā€™m also still working as a ā€œessential employeeā€, so i get it. Scary times right now.

Yeah if you are just now getting into headphones, definitely take the time to learn what you like sound sig wise before you spend a bunch of money. I spent at least 2 years messing around in the $500 and less market until I figured out I really like a more balanced neutral sound. Now I feel more at ease spending a large chunk on the higher end stuff when Iā€™ve kinda got my taste figured out. This forum has also been a huge help navigating my way through.
